There is a connection between wisdom and Joy. We see this reality in Ecclesiastes 8:1b:

The reason why the wise have joy is that they work to bring joy and satisfaction to individuals around them and not to themselves alone. Who then can we called the wise? The book of Proverbs 10:8a answers this question.

It takes wisdom and meekness of heart for a man to submit to the instructions of God. Oh, these two are hard to come by in this day and age. No big surprise joy is quickly turning into a scarce commodity.

For many people in this present world, God's commandments are presently not an issue to be thought of. Liberal theologians are busy persuading the gullible that the commandment of God is old, outdated, and moribund.

They contend that the best way to sustain the Christian faith is to leave the instructions of God as reinforced by Jesus Christ in the gospels. The message of the Bible is being over-contextualized to the point that we have numerous assortments of beliefs and practices in the Body of Christ today.

It is presented as if when God was giving His instructions, He didn't have the entire world at the top of the priority list. We must admit the truth that when Jesus Christ was showing His followers, He was setting them up to evangelize the world.

He could therefore not have sent them out to various areas of the world to teach a spiritual curriculum that is unique in relation to what He had effectively shown them as recorded in the gospel

Only the fear of God, which produces adherence to His instructions, can give you joy indescribable and make you full with His glory. Be wise.
