An elect is a chosen or desired fellow. From a Christian perspective, an elect is a person who the Almighty God, by His mercy, has picked to be qualified as righteous before Him. The Almighty God watches over His elect. He isn't ashamed of them even among His holy angels because they are making him proud in this age and according to the word of God.
Hebrews 11:16 let us that the elect of God have both a moral and spiritual responsibility to live in alignment with the commandments of God. The elect should be focused more on things above than the material things of this world. At times they go through challenges of poverty in the light of the fact that they refused to sell their conscience, suffering bonds, persecution, and in extreme cases, suffering bonds, martyrdom.
This made the Lord Jesus assure His audience in Luke 18:7 that the Almighty God will constantly take care of His own elect. This is one of the many rewards of being an elect of the Most High. In Psalms: 50:15, the Lord Jesus is reassuring the elect of God who have rejected all forms of righteousness and evil of sin. The Almighty God will constantly be there for all the elect, if only they cry to Him in the day of trouble.
Are you an elect of the Most High? If not, it only takes just the acceptance of the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour to be the one of the elect. Forsake the evil ways and begin to live your lives as approved by the Lord Jesus in the gospels.
