THE PURPOSE OF GOD'S BLESSING

1. “Now it came to pass, afterward, that He [Jesus] went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him,
2. and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities [sicknesses]—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons,
3. AND JOANNA THE WIFE OF CHUZA, HEROD'S STEWARD, AND SUSANNA, AND MANY OTHERS WHO PROVIDED FOR HIM FROM THEIR SUBSTANCE [possessions].”
   Luke 8:1-3 (NKJV)

• There must be a cause you are supporting as a believer in Christ Jesus.
GOD blesses with a purpose, when you have a cause which you are supporting, you are a candidate for God's Blessing or lifting.

• IF you do not have a cause you are supporting, financial abundance may be a mirage.
  SOME have prayed and fasted in order to experience financial
  breakthrough, but nothing has happened.
  FASTING and prayer are important in your walk with God, however, it is the obedience to God's Word that will expedite or speed up the answers to your prayers on financial abundance.
  FINANCIAL breakthrough does not answer to prayers but action, obedient to the Word of God, you do what the Word says to do, that is, giving to God's purposes.

• When someone was told to tithe and give offerings, that if he does NOT do it, things might not be okay financially for him. He said some of the richest people in the world do not know God, yet they are rich and wealthy.
NOW the principles that govern the people of the world are different to the principles that govern the people of the Kingdom of God.
IF a child of God Who belongs to God's kingdom, who professed to be born-again, applies the principles of the world in order to prosper financially, it may not work for him or her.
JESUS in His teaching told us what to do in order to be blessed.

1. "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
2. "FOR AFTER ALL THESE THINGS THE GENTILES SEEK. FOR YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS THAT YOU NEED ALL THESE THINGS.
3. "BUT SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, and all these things shall be added to you."
   Matthew 6:31-33 (NKJV)

• The people of the world may need to agitate, or manipulate things to get what they want, but a child of the kingdom cannot do such.
  BELIEVERS in Christ Jesus do not need to pursue the things of world, material things, like the people of the world do.
  GOD has plans for every child of His, thus a child of God should seek to know what God has in plan for him or her, such should not worry, agitate, or be anxious for material things like the people of the world (Philippians 4:6).
  BELIEVERS are to find out what God wanted for them and align themselves with it.
  WE are not to go before God with a lorry load of wants, but seek to know what He has in plans for us and walk in agreement with Him in the plans.

• You must be a part of the programme of God on planet earth.

• SUPPORT the vision of your Pastor, and that of other ministers whom God has used to bless you.
• THE ministers whom God has sent to you, to bless you, have a cause or vision which God has given them, you have to be a part to it—support it.
• THE reason why God will channel money through you, is because you are supporting a cause of His Kingdom.
• MONEY in the kingdom is directed to the people who are using it to support the kingdom purposes.
  THE secret of financial blessing in the kingdom is the commitment of a believer to the expansion of God's kingdom on earth.
  THE truth is that if you are not mindful of the things of His kingdom, God also might not be mindful of whatever concerns you.
  HIS kingdom should be of the utmost priority to you.
  HIS kingdom should be sought first before any other things—it should be above all else (Matthew 6:33).

• Take note:

• GIVE your tithes regularly, as at when due (Malachi 3:10-12).
• GIVE to God commanded projects (Exodus 35:4-22).
• GIVE to God-given visions (3 John 5-8).
• GIVE to spread the gospel—mission work (Luke 8:1-3).
• GIVE to the anointing, ministers, whom God has used to bless you (Philippians 4:15-19).
• GIVE to the needy in the household of faith: "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, ESPECIALLY TO THOSE WHO ARE OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH" (Galatians 6:10).
  THE needy in the household of faith are agents of blessings in disguise IF you take care of them: "He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and He will pay back what he has given" (Proverbs 19:17).

• This is a kingdom principle and it is the principle for lifting.
THERE is no shortcut to financial lifting in the kingdom except through the obedience to His Word on giving.
THE people of the world might not give, pay tithes or give offerings, and still have financial blessings: God is not in there thoughts, they are not governed by the principles of the kingdom, and they do not see any need why they should serve God (Psalm 73:2-17).
GOD Himself would not need whatever the ungodly may bring as offerings, except his or her soul.
WHATEVER anyone has without Christ, such a person is wretched in the sight of God: "Because you say, 'I am Rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked" (Revelation 3:17).

THE Psalmist says:

1. "I was envious of the boastful, WHEN I SAW THE PROSPERITY OF THE WICKED [the ungodly].
2. They are not in trouble as other men, nor are they plagued like other men.
3. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth.
4. When I thought how to understand this, it was too painful for me—
5. UNTIL I WENT TO THE SANCTUARY OF GOD; THEN I UNDERSTOOD THEIR END.
6. SURELY YOU [God] SET THEM IN SLIPPERY PLACES; YOU CAST THEM DOWN TO DESTRUCTION."
