  1. "And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey?
  2. SO WE SEE THAT THEY COULD NOT ENTER IN BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF."
    Hebrews 3:18,19 (NKJV)

• Unbelief Displeases God

  • The Israelites who perished in the wilderness did, because of unbelief.
  • God was angry with them because they did not believe Him, their trust in Him was not sound.
  1. "For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses?
  2. Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?
    Hebrews 3:16,17 (NKJV)

• When God INSTRUCTED you, obey promptly

  • God wants you to have rest in Him.
  • Rest is a trust. When you have rest in His Word, it means you trust in Him, you rely on Him.
  • God wants whoever following Him to be daring in his or her faith.
YOU must be able to step out whenever He speaks.
  • Faith is a risk taking. It is an act of obedience to what you believe you have heard from Him.
  • Faith is acting on God's Word: the written Word or the Word impressed on your heart by the Holy Spirit.
  • You must be proactive in your dealings, relationship, will God.
  • He wants prompt obedience to whatever He instructed you to do.

• Note: Fear of men should not be allowed

  • What will people say should not be considered.
  • Having obeyed does not mean you will not face challenges or opposition in doing What He instructed you to do. But, whatever, you are sure of His presence, His backing; because you are acting on His Word—what He instructed you to do.

• Faith pleases Him, but unbelief displeases Him

"BUT WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM, he who comes to GOD must believe that HE IS, and that HE IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM."
Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
