SUPPLICATIONS [Psalm 5a]

“Give ear to my words, O LORD, Consider my meditation.”
Psalm 5:1 (NKJV)

• The foundation for having results in prayers is, being born of God (Romans 10:9,10).

• New Life in Christ Jesus gives you a place in God’s Presence.
• Someone who is not saved, born-again, cannot receive complete attention from God. GOD will hear your words, consider your meditations, if you walk in relationship and fellowship with Him.

• “Give heed to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, For to You I will pray.My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up" (Psalm 5:2,3).
NOTE: God should be in your sleeping and waking thoughts.

• Some only think about God when they have problems.
  THEY come to God when they have urgent needs.
  THEY treat God as a ‘fix-it machine' THAT IS, when something is wrong in their lives, they quickly come to God to fix it for them.
• God is not a thing. God is not an impersonal force.
  GOD is a personality, He is real, He has emotion, will, and thought.
• If you have ears, God has some as well.
  WHATEVER you see in you, God has. He created mankind in His image and likeness (Genesis 12:26-27).
• Let God take a good percentage of your time per day.Spend time in God’s Word and prayer.
  ALSO spend time BY investing in other people: it could be in PRAYERS, counselings, lending a helping hand, visitations and caring.
• Touch people daily with your gifted, whatever ability God has given you: "WE THEN WHO ARE STRONG OUGHT TO BEAR WITH THE SCRUPLES [weaknesses] OF THE WEAK, AND NOT TO PLEASE OURSELVES. Let each of us please his [her] neighbour for his [her] good, LEADING TO EDIFICATION [building up]" (Romans 15:1,2).

• Look up to God:
IN PRAYERS, that is, in fellowshipping with Him.

IN studying of His Word, in order to receive wisdom and knowledge. (Joshua 1:8).
FOR help and deliverance, God does not want us to live independently of Him.
FOR you cannot handle the challenges of life alone, thus you need Him.

• “For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You" (Psalm 5:4).

• If you live IN wickedness, God’s Presence would not be with you.
• God’s eyes cannot behold sin (Habakkuk 1:13).
• He abhors wickedness and evil.
  NOTE: Someone living in sin is a wicked person in the sight of God.
  GOD will judge the wicked and evil doers: “WOE TO THE WICKED! IT SHALL BE ILL WITH HIM, For the reward of his hands shall be given him” (Isaiah 3:11).
  IN God’s Kingdom there is no place for the wicked (Revelation 21:27).

• “THE BOASTFUL SHALL NOT STAND IN YOUR SIGHT; You hate all workers of iniquity” (Psalm 5:5).

• Being boastful is a by-product of Pride.
  BOASTING is as a result of being conceited.
  A SELF-CONCEITED person talked more about himself, such likes blowing their own trumpets—talking about how good they are and their achievements.
• God hates pride. He resists the proud and gives GRACE to the humble (1 Peter 5:5)
• One of the keys to greatness in Life and Ministry is humility.
  A HUMBLE person will always receive GRACE from God.
  HE will make progress in whatever he or she does, because God will breathe Life on it.
• To stand in God’s Presence, you have to eliminate pride: “But now you boast in your arrogance. ALL SUCH BOASTING IS EVIL" (James 4:16).
• One of the qualifications for success in the Ministry is humility:“HUMBLE yourselves in the sight of the Lord, AND HE WILL LIFT YOU UP" (James 4:10).
• If you embarked on what God has not sent you to do, you will meet with strong resistance from Him.
• If you are wise in your own eyes, it amounts to pride in God’s sight:“DO NOT BE WISE IN YOUR OWN EYES; FEAR THE LORD AND DEPART FROM EVIL” (Proverbs 3:7).
• Sin will rubbish the grace of God on your life.
  SIN will block you access to God.
  IT also will mar you fellowship and relationship with God.
  GOD hates workers of iniquity!

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
