THE MIRACLES OF JESUS CHRIST

There’s nothing that can compare to the awesome power of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Savior of the world, the slain lamb who gave his life for humanity, who shed his precious and blessed blood for each of us, who bought us at the price of blood, whose body was extremely wounded for love of us.

The Son of God, who manifests in flesh amazing powers such as giving life to the dead, control over nature, healing incurable diseases, casting out demons... things that even today are incredible to believe.

He came to earth to make known the Kingdom of God, to defeat the ancient serpent, to throw out the prince of this world, satan. He performed miracles to make known to man that for God is the glory, honor and majesty. Also the faith of the human being is necessary for God to act and the miracle to happen, as we can see in (Mark 5: 34-36) with the woman which had an issue of blood twelve years.

But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

This was a woman severely tormented by this disease that made blood flow from her genitals without stopping, for years she visited all kinds of doctors and only went from bad to worse, spending a fortune without finding a cure until she saw Christ and fight with all her strength to touch his garment, regardless of having to drag herself, her faith made the miracle manifest in her as she said: “If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole." She believed it with such strong conviction that at that very moment the source of her blood dried up. We must take her example and don’t doubt despite how difficult as be our situation because we’re in God's hands and He have total control of our lives.

Another of the miracles performed by the Lord was the resurrection of Lazarus, with this he defies the laws of nature. When everyone considered Lazarus dead, when no one believed that the impossible was going to happen, it’s when Christ appears and changes the course of things, and shows that God is life and blessing that overcomes death. That it’s in His domain to give life and give death, to lengthen and shorten the years.

In a certain city there’s a man blind from birth, the Lord passing by, in his infinite mercy stopped to give him healing by spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, and said unto him, go, wash in the pool of Siloam, he went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing, demonstrating to the people of Israel that there is no other god than the Living God and that the son of God is the light of the world.

Then he is interrogated by the Pharisees and without fear, defends Christ so he is finally expelled from the synagogue. Only Jesus Christ brings healing to our body, soul, mind, and spirit (Isaiah 53: 5).

Although the doctors, your family, your friends say the opposite, it’s only God who has the last word. God looks at us as the doctor who wants to heal sick men for sin, looks at us with the eyes of immense mercy (Mark 2:17).

While the Lord sent the multitudes away, He allowed the apostles to go forward in the boat and He goes to a mountain just to pray until he decides to reach them in a very impressive way, walking on the water!

And this part seemed me funny, because when they see it they say: a ghost! Being that they had already seen the Lord casting out demons. Excited Peter also wants to walk on the waters and he really made it until a strong wind reaches him and his fear begins to take hold and he descends into the water, terrified he cries out to the Lord, and immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him: O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt (Matthew 14:31). The Lord does not like unbelievers because without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11: 6).

Through this miracle, the Lord Jesus Christ reminds us that he has the power to even control the forces of nature, since God has given him that power (1 Corinthians 15:27).

The famous multiplication of bread and fish, who does don’t know this miracle? On this occasion a great multitude followed Jesus and He healed their diseases. When the time got dark, He didn't want to send them away so he fed many.

It can be understood through this miracle that God cares for our needs not only spiritual but also material, He watches over his children (Matthew 10: 29-30). Even when we’re in times of shortage, God provides where there is nothing, as happened with this multitude that they only had five breads and two fish! (Matthew 14: 13-20).

Jairus, one of the rulers of the synagogue came to Jesus and he fell at his feet and said him to lay thy hands on her daughter because she was dying. Soon came a certain man from the house of synagogue ruler which said, don’t bother the Master anymore because she is dead. Here we can discern how sometimes the enemy wants to steal our blessing making us doubt the power of God, and what did Jesus say to him? "Be not afraid, only believe." (Mark 5:36).

Faith... can even move mountains, although the situation makes it seem that there's no way out, for God nothing is impossible. God show us that when we think that everything is lost, He’s the answer, He’s the Author of life.

We see that Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast that the Jews were celebrating and nearby was a pool called Bethesda, in these pool lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water because an angel at a certain season going down to the pool, and the first who touch the waters is healed of any disease (John 5: 4). The most peculiar thing about this situation is that it was the same Master who offered to the paralitic the healing since he could see that he had been in that situation for a long time.

The curious thing is that Christ made this sign on the Sabbath so that the people of Israel understood that they could do good on that solemn day, since if their neighbor needed something they should help him.

The Master also instructed the man don't sin any more so that something worse not come to him (John 5:14). God can work a miracle in you but if you continue in the same sins and the desires of the world, you will open doors to the enemy and every spirit that has left you will return with seven worse ones. (Matthew 12: 43-45)

When accepting Christ in our lives, everything must change, our habits, our friendships, everything that damages your communion with the Holy Spirit must come out of your environment, lead a life of prayer, fasting, holiness since the Holy Spirit doesn't can dwell in an unclean body (1 Corinthians 6:19). Thus you will grow and mature spiritually and the peace of the Lord will rest in your life.

Beloved, we have seen that the Master when he came on earth performed many miracles showing us that he had been sent by God so that we would believe that he's the way, the truth and the life. Only through the Son can we access the Father and thus the kingdom of heaven. God has wonderful purposes with you, He saved you for some reason but be faithful, live according to His Word and fight the good fight of faith. God bless you!
