Hello everyone, trust we are doing great. A quick one. The title of today's post is departing from sin. Sin can be likened to a virus in us. If not deserted and eliminated from our lives, will lead to death. The wages of sin is death. If we will not depart from this deadly virus, we might be a victim of the consequences that comes with it. It is therefore important that we all depart from it when we sense it coming. SIN doesn't appear deadly, it appears as that which is pleasant.

DEPARTING FROM SIN.

PSALMS 34:14.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

The only thing that pleased God about man is that a man is freed from the bondage of sin. God delights in a man that chooses to depart from evil and live godly. Anyone that does not depart from sin is eternally doomed. May God grant us the grace to depart from sin totally in Jesus name.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO DEPART FROM SIN?

1. it means to acknowledge ones evil ways and beg for God's Mercy. When you are sincere about departing from sin, one must recognize his or her ways. Inorder not to partake in the consequence of ones action, one need to Cry out for mercy.

Psalms 51:1.

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

2• It means to run away from Eternal death.

To depart from sin is having the understanding that the end product of sin is death. Why partake in a thing when you know it's end result? It is a wise decision to depart from sin. Eternal death will not be our portion.

Romans 6:23.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

WHY SHOULD WE DEPART FROM SIN?

1. Because all sinners will go to hell.

Revelation 21:8.
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

2• Because God does not want anybody to perish.

He has given us the free will to choose between Life(his gift) and death(the wages of sin). He cares for us all. His will for us is that we all come into his saving power and his knowledge through which we can get his gift. He made so clear. Make a wise decision today.

Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

WHO SHOULD DEPART FROM SIN?

1. All human beings.

Psalms 9:17.
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

1. Those who profess to be children of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

SOME BENEFITS OF DEPARTING FROM SIN.

1. We will enjoy divine power over sin.

John 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

2• We will reign with Christ.

CONCLUSION;

What is that act that can hinder God's prophecy upon your life, I beseech you today depart from it because it is a sin. Sin has an acronym which says;
SIMPLE
INSTRUCTION
NEGLECTED.

To reign with Christ,we all need to depart from sin and live a holy life.
