At the foot of the Cross

At the foot of the cross, a place where divine exchange was made possible, our ashes were traded for beauty, Our sins were all forgiven. A man who knew no sin was in Him made sin that we should be free, A man who was rich made poor that we should be made rich, a man whom was of no affliction afflicted that we be free. At the foot of the cross was laid Mercy for all, Oh, what a glorious moment being connected to the father and making us heir of the kingdom of His dear son.A place that should never be forgotten in the life of Christians.

At the foot of the cross was where every battle was won, and we were made victors, it was where every cultural rituals and sacrifices was made null that all we should look on was the cross. It was where Satan was defeated and eternal life was a blessed assurance that Jesus was ours. It was where our weaknesses were made strength, it was where all power in heaven and on Earth was given unto us. Just at the foot of the cross was where we were crowd forgiveness and had access to the father when all curtains to the Tabernacle was torn and paid for us with His blood.

Christ gave Himself for all to be saved, he took all the shame and reproach looking at the joy that was set ahead of Him, that we would be free from the bondage of sin, fear, failure and defeat. That we who were lost and held captives would be free men.

And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard His cry and saw how He died, he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God” [Mark 15:39]

At all times, we are expected to know that we were bought and with a costly price. That it's not we who live any longer but it's Christ who lives in us. The cross is a place of refuge, a place of victory, a place where there's peace. At all times, Christ expect us to submit our weaknesses, intelligent and carnal wisdom, our fears and our burden at the foot of the cross.

The experience of the cross happened many centuries before I was born. No, I wasn't there but there was someone who was there, someone in me who was standing as a witness and today I believe that am free standing at the foot of the cross.
