The Light of His Glory
His Glory is its brightness, its flavors, its colors, its sounds, it is more than we can imagine or think. God's glory is not for us, but for the world to see through us.
Jesus said in Matthew 5: You are the light of the world. We do not generate our own light, we are like a focus that emits the light of his glory. Light is only useful where there is darkness, since it disappears when it is illuminated.
We are the light of the world and we must shine. We must let our works shine so that the world glorifies God.
When God works in our life, as well as the electricity in the lamps, the darkness goes and the kingdom of God expands. I want this to happen in my life.
I hope that every place where I go, people see in me the glory of God, enter a room. I want people to perceive that there is something different in my life. It is the Glory of God !!
To shine refers to the effect produced by the incidence of light on an object. If the church shines, it is not because it is a generator of light, but because it possesses "that true Light which enlightens every man".
"Thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee." Has the glory of God really shone in our hearts? When we have seen his glory, the profound consequence is that all our schemes and thoughts fall before him. Nothing is greater than seeing Him, nothing can make us turn back, because, when His light conquers us, we are captive of the heavenly vision.
