The woman in our text passage, who was burdened with an age long infirmity couldn’t miss the personal attention of Jesus, simply because she was a daughter of Abraham. Do you know that you too; you are a spiritual descendant of Abraham and you have a right to the blessings of Abraham?
The bible says in Romans 4:16 - “therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed: not to that only which is the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all”.
You belong to the kingdom of God: scriptures affirm; that, “God hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son” {Colossians 1:13}. One great highlight of his kingdom is that there are no second class citizens. It’s equal right and justice
Jesus; in john 17:23, praying for the church, said – “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me”.
It is clear hear in Jesus’ claim; that, God does not love us any less than he loves Jesus. If God loves you the same way he loves Jesus; why should you think he loves a particular person more than he loves you? Results and endowments of his grace notwithstanding; God has no favorites, time and chance happened unto all men.
“God is no respecter of persons; but in every nation he that feared him, and worked righteousness, is accepted with him” {Act 10 :33-34}.
You are not a second class citizen of God’s kingdom. You must not allow your deprivations which are simply transient, hand over to you a “residence permit” in God’s kingdom, when you are actually meant to be a citizen.
Your deprivation have not come to stay, they have come to pass away. Don’t be intimidated by the results of others; “the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men”Titus 2:11 and this includes you.
Refuse to keep yourself under the bondage of men and self pity. You have an equal access to God as much as every other person in the kingdom. You too, are a child of Abraham and you cannot miss God’s divine attention.
