STAY SPIRITUALLY ALERT.

There is nothing you will find as a viable life saving device, as much as seeking to stay spiritually alert all the time. The enemy longs for spiritual laxity in the lives of God’s people, which he can take advantage of, for all manner of exploitation. The Bible warns for you to
“Be sober, be vigilant; because, your adversary
the devil, as a roaring lion,
walketh about, seeking whom
he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).
You will need to stay alert to the scheming of the devil. The earlier you realize that there is no goodness in the devil, the better it is for you. When he comes against you, he is not likely to come as the “bad” devil that he is; because, he knows you will identify him so easily and you will turn him down. He is a very subtle being and in his cunning craftiness whereby he lies in wait to deceive, he is likely going to come as an angel of light, seeking to catch in on you. This is why you need to be spiritually alert.
If you seek to operate in the flesh; you will not be able to catch his intrics. The Bible in Galatians 5:16; recommends a walk in the Spirit as a safeguard. The devil could actually come quoting the Scriptures, like he did with Jesus in the wilderness after Jesus fasted for forty days and forty nights.
The devil is a sweet talker of the Scriptures and you need the alertness of the spirit man within to be able to beat him to it. Another very good aspect of spiritual alertness is staying alert to what God wants you to do at any point in time. It is not enough to know that the devil is at it again; but staying alert to what God wants you to do, turns out to be the spoiler of all satanic processes initiated in your life. There is a stirring that takes place in your spirit, that tells you what is on board; it is an internal alarm that shows danger and at the same time gives direction from God on how to avert the danger.
In seeking to stay spiritually alert; another area you must not neglect is the advances of men towards you. You’ll need to be on the watch out in your dealings with men. Anyone can be used as an agent of the devil against your well being. If the devil could enter peter the chiefest of the disciples, to seek to work against Jesus; you must not see any one as an exemption. Who the person was yesterday is one; who he or she is today needs to be ascertained, based on the inside information lodged in your spirit man. Deceit is often time loaded with much truth, that you’ll need divine help to identify the spoiler venom tucked in it.
