In seeking to ascertain the much you can receive from God or the scope of what God can do or give: it is never a matter of “if he can”? It is a matter of what you can believe for yourself. The man who brought his son with a tormenting spirit to Jesus to be healed; sought to know from Jesus what he could do, to heal his son. Jesus did not mix words, he made it very clear to him; that, it is not a matter of “if you can?” it all depended on what he could believe; because, all things are possible to him who believes.
God can do all things, but, the issue lies in what you can believe God for. If you would dare to believe, you would gladly see and experience the possibility of all things. It is not a matter of what people are saying or expecting. It is a matter of what you can see of God of the helps he brings. If you can see it; then, it is certain that you will have it. What can you see of God that is being made to happen for you right now?
The Lord told Abraham after his separation from lot; “for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever” {Genesis 13:15}. There was no limit to what Abraham could receive from God. The only limitation was what he could see or figure out with his eyes of faith. What can you imagine of all you see from God?
Your imagination is the eyes of your human spirit and if the eyes of your human spirit and if with the eyes of your imagination; you can see yourself with it; he would not deny you of it. With God; it is what you can see for yourself and not just what he can give. He can do all things, he can make all grace abound on you unto all sufficiency; but, what can you see of what he can do?
The lord spoke concerning the tower of Babel of what the sons of men in unity set themselves to accomplish; - “nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do” {Genesis11:6}. The project they were involved in was obviously not in line with God’s will; but, because they had imagined it and with their eyes of their human spirit seen the tower completed; they were going to have it. God had move swiftly to set them in disarray by confounding their language, such that they could no longer understand one another. What can you see of the ability of God upon your situation? It is not necessarily what anyone has seen for you; but, what you can see and believe of God for yourself. This is so; because, the just shall live by his own faith.
