A TALKER, OR A PERFORMER.

Samson was not really known to be a talker, he was a performer. He enjoyed so much of the performing grace of God, such that life was full of vibrant and mind blowing results. He never struggled with situations, situations bowed and crumbled before him. At a time, Samson was brought into the midst of the Philistines; while the Philistines rejoiced over him catching on a cheap victory, the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and the cords that was upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from his hands.

Samson found a new jawbone of an ass; he took it and with it, without any talking he slew one thousand Philistines. Bound with brand new ropes with liers in wait for his capture; immediately he heard – _“the Philistines be upon thee Samson”,_he got up and brake the ropes off his arms like a thread. No talking!

After he gave away the secret of his consecration on the laps of a prostitute; trapped by the enemy, he heard the word –

“The Philistines be upon thee, Samson”; he woke up from his sleep and all of a sudden, he became a noise maker. He simply kept talking; “I will go out as at other times before and shake myself”; but, there was no result. So much shaking without result, simply because the power of the result had left him.

Today, there is so much shaking among the people of God without tangible results, because they have sidelined the source of power.

We are not sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as of ourselves; our sufficiency is of God. Our relationship with God is something to cherish highly; because, without Him we can do nothing. Many feel they have come to a point where they can do without God. They abandon the principles of God’s Word and they set themselves to do their own.

They excuse themselves from the law of God and they become a law unto themselves. All such people soon run out of steam and are brought to naught. They soon become noise makers, talking with no ability to perform. One way to stay relevant is to learn to preserve the performing grace of God upon our lives through a life of holiness.
