Hebrews 11:3 let us know that everything begins and ends with the word of God. Since the word of God is the architect, designer, and creator of everything we can see and things we can't see.
It implies that nothing is hidden from his presence and nothing he can reach. This is good news for those who love God’s word. There is no hiding place for the devil to strike you if the word of God is your teacher and guide.
In this present world, many people hate the word of God, especially those part that seems to trespass on their satisfaction and fundamental human rights such as homosexuality, incest, depravity, drinking alcohol, smoking, and drug addiction.
A lot of people hate what the word of God says about these acts not only because they partake in them but also because these acts serve as the means of business for some of them.
I urge such individuals to receive the good news of change that comes through the word of God because the same word will stand to condemn them on the Day of Judgment if they persist in their crooked ways.
On the Day of Judgment, not only will God judge our works, but God will also judge all that we have in our hearts, and He is already doing this presently with His word.
In John 12:3-8, we see how the word of God reveals the intent of Judas Iscariot’s heart. A woman came with very costly ointment to anoint the Lord Jesus’ feet, and Judas Iscariot, being our Lord treasurer, saw what us woman did has been wrong.
Besides the fact that Judas Iscariot was wrong to condemn a sacrifice offered to the Lord Jesus, the word of God reveals the intent of his heart.
Today, some church treasurers may not support the idea of buying anything that can make God’s house look beautiful because the greater the credit balance in the church account, the more money available for them to steal.
Dealing with the evils of man’s hearts is very vital to God because it controls their behavior and words. A fellow who goes to church dressed in a wrong way has more than meets the eye in his or her heart.
When a man starts to plait his hair in the name of fashion, he needs to re-access the intent of his heart. A pastor who randomly hugs congregation members should be very careful with the opposite sex. Erotic jokes show what is loaded in the heart does not trivialize or condone them.
