One expectation of the Lord is the gratitude of His people for the many blessings He gave them. It is sad, however, that humanity, from the beginning has been ungrateful. They forget the wonderful things the Lord has done soon after receiving His blessings and start to speak against the Lover of their souls.
After Jesus Christ healed ten lepers, He expected the leper to return and say Glory to God in the highest for the miracle.
To the Lord's surprise, however, only one of the ten lepers. Ingratitude is a way of robbery against the Lord. The greatest danger of ungratefulness is the giving of the glory that belongs to the Almighty God to someone or anything else. This is likened to idolatry, punishable for eternity condemnation. In addition, it is very dangerous not to be grateful because your joy can't be full if you are not grateful.
The only fellow we can say that as having the fullness of joy amongst these ten lepers is the leper who came back to give glory to the Lord. We must note, however, that the first way to show appreciation to the Almighty God is to accept His offer of salvation which appears free but cost the life of the innocent Jesus Christ.
We must accept this gift with every sense of appreciation. Indeed, our acceptance of the lordship of Jesus Christ over our lives is the wisest form of appreciation we can ever show to God.
