DO NOT BE CARELESS WITH THE THINGS OF GOD

Many Christians are not serious with the things of God like the time they were saved. Can you tell why it is so? Others are not even persuaded that they should hold fast their salvation, hence they can drift to any so called truth like the Galatians-Christians Paul was rebuking in Gal. 1:6-9, 3:1-4; by doing this, they are belittling God’s salvation for their soul.
Let us learn from Esau’s mistake who did not value his birthright, but sold it because of food. Later, he regretted his action but by then, it was too late. Once a Christian loses his salvation, it is very hard for him to get it again.
Many do not know that God’s salvation is so great that it cost Him the life of His dear Son. Moreover, there is no aspect of the human need this salvation cannot address.
God was not happy with Israel for not taking His word serious while they were in the wilderness. Therefore He is warning the believers not to take His word for granted; since Israel could not escape His punishment.
Satan is responsible for many Christians’ nonchalant attitude towards the things of God. He is using many ways to fight the believers so that they would give up on God.
One of the things we can use to fight back the devil is faith. Paul told Timothy to fight a good fight of faith to enable him keep his faith to the end.
Remember that when you are growing cold in your faith, you will start to develop lack of interest in the things of God. Therefore, you have to fight against anything that will rise against you to snatch your faith.
