ASK, DON'T WAIT FOR OTHERS!

in HeartChurch4 years ago (edited)

God is willing to answer your prayers. The effectiveness of your prayer is not tied to your physical display but the rightness of your heart. The heart is the determining factor to receiving from God.

Heartfelt prayers is the altar for any change you need. The altar of prayer is the altar of change. What you do or say does not move God as much as what goes on in your heart.

For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise. Psalms 51:16-17

Prayer has the power to change things and reverse the irreversible. God does not store prayers but answers prayer. Prayers has the power to revoke all negative verdicts.
You don't need to pray in a group or wait to be pray for by anyone before God will answer your prayers. You can pray alone and receive answers and change to that situation.

John 16:23-24 says

“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Jesus said if you not if they will ask. This means that you can pray your way out of any situation you find yourself.

WHY YOU MUST ASK

  1. God is prepared to meet all your needs. Philippians 4:19
  2. All good things of life are our inheritance in Christ. Rom. 8:32
  3. God will not postpone my answers. Proverbs 3:27-28, 2corinthians 2:6

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE WHO PRAYED ALONE AND GOT ANSWERS

  1. Abraham prayed for Sodom and gommorah and Lot was saved. He prayed for Abimelech and he and his family were healed. Gen. 18:17-23

  2. Jacob prayed and his life was changed. Gen. 32:24-28. He didn't wait for anyone to pray for or with him. He faced his life with prayers and things change.

  3. Joshua prayed and nature stood still. Josh. 10:12-15

  4. Elijah prayed and there was no rain for three and a half years and also prayed and the rains were restored. 1kings 17:1, James 5:17.

  5. Jabez prayed himself out of misfortune without waiting for any Pastor or prophet to pray for him and it was recorded that God granted his request. 1chron 4:9-10.

  6. Nehemiah prayed his way and rebuilt the wasted walls of Jerusalem. Neh. 1:1-10

  7. Hezekiah prayed his way out of death. Even when God told him he will die, he prayed and God reversed the death he once declared to fifteen extra years. If prayers could reverse God's decree of death, how much more the decree of men. Isaiah 38:1-5

  8. Jesus. Luke 9:28-32. He prayed his way to fulfilment of his ministry. If Jesus prayed, why can't you.

  9. Hannah prayed her way out of barrenness and God answered her prayers. 1 Samuel 1:9-19

No prayer is answered on the basis of how many people prayed but by basis of the effective engagement by the people involved. It's all tied to the position of your heart.

Matthew 7:7-11 says

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Pray your way out of that situation or circumstances you are in right now, don't wait for anyone not even your Pastor or prophet. Start asking now!
