The Bible: Our Life Guide
Timothy 3:16-17; Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another, showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. Through the word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.
The are lots and lots of good or great books in the world we live, from stories to inspiration etc, some have even won international awards and the likes but none is and can compare to the Bible, because the words of the Bible shall never pass out. It is a living word from God that is to guide mankind in this journey called life on this planet called earth where we are passing through to the heavenly. The Bible holds great knowledge of the past, present and the future and so long as we are amenable to to learning, we will be shown the right path to take, the right things to do and how to correct and our mistakes and be a better person, growing in knowledge, wisdom and strength. Because the Bible instill the fear of the Lord in us and this is the beginning of wisdom.
1 Thessalonians 2:13; We also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which indeed at work in you who believe.
The bible is also one of the greatest puzzles in life and unless one approaches the learning process with humility, seeking understanding from the Author himself through prayers, may read but never really get it because whiles the words of the bible may seem straight forward and very plausible it speaks to every individual differently, and so without opening yourself to the knowledge and the Holy Spirit to talk to you, you may take someone else's Rhema to be your own.
It is for this reason why we must strive to know God for ourselves, because while gifting of the Spirit is many and some are specially blessed to interpret and to preach the Word, we all we receive it differently. But through fellowship we should edify one another with our knowledge, understanding and gifting for it in fellowship that we grow. It is my wish for you today that you start taking you Bible more serious and allow it to guide you in everything you do in life. When in doubt, go to you Bible and talk to the Holy Spirit and you will always find the right answers to what you need. Have fruitful week.
