"Los frutos del Espíritu son perfecciones que forma en nosotros el Espíritu Santo como primicias de la gloria eterna.     En esta serie reflexionaremos sobre los frutos del Espíritu, el significado y la importancia de cada uno de ellos dentro de la vida cristiana.

Mansedumbre

    La palabra "mansedumbre" (Del lat. mansuetūdo, -ĭnis) se utiliza generalmente para atribuir a alguien la condición de manso, es decir, benigno y suave (DRAE). Para el cristiano, la "mansedumbre" es resultado de la acción del Espíritu Santo sobre su vida. Es reconocible este fruto en aquellos cristianos que, ante la ofensa del soberbio y del prepotente, no se alteran, sino que son capaces de mantener un trato calmado y palabras suaves. El que, a semejanza de Cristo, sea manso y humilde de corazón, se mantendrá lejos del odio, de la violencia, de resentimientos y de la sed de venganza.

    Que el Espíritu Santo nos conceda tener un corazón manso a imagen de Jesús; lento para enojarse y sabio para hablar.

Meekness

    The word "meekness" (From the lat. Mansuetūdo, -ĭnis) is generally used to attribute to someone the condition of meek, that is, benign and soft (DRAE). For the Christian, "meekness" is the result of the action of the Holy Spirit on his life. This fruit is recognizable in those Christians who, in the face of the offense of the arrogant and arrogant, do not get upset, but are capable of maintaining a calm treatment and soft words. He who, like Christ, is meek and humble of heart, will keep away from hatred, violence, resentment, and the thirst for revenge.

    May the Holy Spirit grant us to have a meek heart in the image of Jesus; slow to anger and wise to speak.
