"Los frutos del Espíritu son perfecciones que forma en nosotros el Espíritu Santo como primicias de la gloria eterna. La tradición de la Iglesia enumera doce: “caridad, gozo, paz, paciencia, longanimidad, bondad, benignidad, mansedumbre, fidelidad, modestia, continencia, castidad (Gálatas 5, 22-23)”. (Catecismo 1832)

    En esta serie reflexionaremos sobre los frutos del Espíritu, el significado y la importancia de cada uno de ellos dentro de la vida cristiana.

Amor o Caridad

    Siendo Dios amor, el fruto del amor refleja la acción de Dios en nosotros. El cristiano da prueba que es nacido de Dios y que conoce a Dios, cuando ama (1 Juan 4, 7). El que no ama no puede decir que conoce a Dios; pues Dios es Amor (1 Juan 4, 8).

    Cuando nos quiera ganar la ira, el odio, el rencor o el resentimiento, recordemos que estamos llamados a dar frutos en el amor, las obras fruto del amor son testimonio fiel de la presencia de Dios en nuestras vidas, por lo que otros podrán reconocer en nuestro proceder la acción del Espíritu (Mt 12, 33). Por amor Dios entregó a Su unigénito, para que todo el que crea en Él, no muera, más tenga vida eterna (Jn 3:16). El amor nos inspira a procurar el bien del otro aunque implique sacrificarnos como Cristo en la cruz; prueba de que el amor verdadero todo lo soporta y todo lo transforma.

    Que el Espíritu Santo nos inspire y guíe para dar en abundancia el fruto del amor.

"The fruits of the Spirit are perfections that the Holy Spirit forms in us as the first fruits of eternal glory. The tradition of the Church lists twelve:“ charity, joy, peace, patience, long-suffering, goodness, kindness, meekness, faithfulness, modesty. , continence, chastity (Galatians 5, 22-23) ”. (Catechism 1832)

    In this series we will reflect on the fruits of the Spirit, the meaning and importance of each one of them within the Christian life.

Love or Charity

    God being love, the fruit of love reflects God's action in us. The Christian gives proof that he is born of God and that he knows God, when he loves (1 John 4, 7). He who does not love cannot say that he knows God; for God is Love (1 John 4, 8).

    When anger, hatred, resentment or resentment wants to win us over, let us remember that we are called to bear fruit in love, works that are the fruit of love are faithful testimony of the presence of God in our lives, for which others will be able to recognize in our course the action of the Spirit (Mt 12:33). For love, God gave his only begotten son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die, but may have eternal life (Jn 3:16). Love inspires us to seek the good of the other even if it implies sacrificing ourselves like Christ on the cross; proof that true love supports everything and transforms everything.

    May the Holy Spirit inspire and guide us to abundantly bear the fruit of love.
