Faith that works by love
Love and faith overlaps each other.
If people that doesn’t faith in the son of God practice love, would that love benefit them in eternity? Likewise they that claim to have faith, if they do not practice love, would their faith benefit them in eternity? The answer to these two questions is NO.
That’s why it’s important that we pay close attention to to the scriptures. Before we progress, let’s see how the scriptures explains the overlap relationship between faith in Christ and love.
Galatians 5:4-6
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Love is believed by many as natural law that guides life and brings fulfillment to everyone that practice it. Nevertheless, the scriptures has concluded that they who practice just love, without mixing it with faith doesn’t measure up to the righteousness of God. Same with they that practice faith without blending it with love.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3
The Way of Love
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
I’ve seen people who claims to know a lot, who also claims to be spirit filled; many speaks in tongues, and many can teach mysteries of the scriptures etc. but when I looked at their lives, I noticed this fundamental or this basic requirements unto these spiritual gifts which is love.
In the other way, there are people who share not same faith with them that believe in God but yet they practice love more. But here, we’re meant to understand that it takes having faith of the son God to being able to practice love.
Love with faith
There’s people that the scriptures talks about who will suffer loss in eternity because the tried to enter fro other ways that aren’t the way to the father. It takes having faith in Christ to please God
In conclusion
Let’s love in faith, let’s live by faith that works by by love so that we can obtain the righteousness of God which come through faith in the son of God, and same faith works in love.
