Lucas 11:5-8
Les dijo también: ¿Quién de vosotros que tenga un amigo, va a él a medianoche y le dice: Amigo, préstame tres panes, porque un amigo mío ha venido a mí de viaje, y no tengo qué ponerle delante; y aquél, respondiendo desde adentro, le dice: No me molestes; la puerta ya está cerrada, y mis niños están conmigo en cama; no puedo levantarme, y dártelos? Os digo, que aunque no se levante a dárselos por ser su amigo, sin embargo por su importunidad se levantará y le dará todo lo que necesite.
Este relato describe lo que implica ser perseverante, la capacidad de mantenerse firme en una acción, actitud u opinión, persistir, insistir en muchos casos hasta lograr lo solicitado, la perseverancia, desarrolla entereza de carácter, firmeza, convicción, no se confunda con terquedad, esta no admite razones ni sugerencia; una persona perseverante escucha sugerencias, analiza opciones lo que le permite tomar decisiones aceptables, es flexible, pero al mismo tiempo constante , le añade paciencia y refleja un alto grado de seguridad en sí mismo, porque está enfocado en un fin y sabe que lo logrará, toma como norte el orden y la disciplina.
En la vida Cristiana es lo mismo, aplicado a asumir el pensamiento y el estilo de vida de Cristo; perseverando en sus estatutos. Buscando la debida comprensión bíblica, escudriñando, estudiando, aprendiendo en comunión con el Espíritu Santo de Dios que nos guía a toda verdad.
Esa forma de vida cambia nuestro el estándar mundano al del reino del cielo, nuestra vida espiritual cambia de la angustia a la esperanza, la indecisión, la incertidumbre a la certeza, de la constante suspicacia y malicia a la confianza, es la vía a través del cual llevamos las más pesadas cargas a la presencia de Dios y nos mantendremos buscando el reino de Dios y su justicia, con pasión, porque sabemos que nos será añadido lo que buscamos y necesitamos.
Efesio 6:18 Orando en todo tiempo con toda oración y súplica en el espíritu, y velando en ello con toda perseverancia y súplica por todos los santos.
La perseverancia es una característica relevante en la vida del Creyente, lo habilita y lo distingue, provocando que otros deseen imitarnos; también puede suceder que despertemos la envidia de los demás y ya estamos advertidos contra tal situación, de igual forma se abren puertas para introducir en el redil del Señor a aquellos que aún están afuera.
Ser perseverante en lo que hacemos nos aleja de la ignorancia, entendiendo que el dominio de un tema, de un talento, nos resalta en todas las áreas de nuestra vida, y aun es más notable en nuestra vida como seguidores de Cristo. Al que muestra mayor capacidad es al que se le asignan mayores responsabilidades, mayores retos y obtiene mayores recompensas, en lo espiritual es igual de demandante.

Luke 11:5-8 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
This story describes what it means to be persevering, the ability to remain firm in an action, attitude or opinion, to persist, to insist in many cases until achieving what is requested, perseverance, develops integrity of character, firmness, conviction, not to be confused with stubbornness, this does not admit reasons or suggestions; A persevering person listens to suggestions, analyzes options which allows him to make acceptable decisions, is flexible, but at the same time constant, adds patience and reflects a high degree of self-confidence, because he is focused on an end and knows that he will achieve it, takes order and discipline as a north.
In the Christian life it is the same, applied to assume the thought and lifestyle of Christ; persevering in his statutes. Seeking the due biblical understanding, searching, studying, learning in communion with the Holy Spirit of God who guides us to all truth.
That way of life changes our worldly standard to that of the kingdom of heaven, our spiritual life changes from anguish to hope, indecision, uncertainty to certainty, from constant suspicion and malice to confidence, is the way through which we carry the heaviest burdens into the presence of God and we will keep seeking the kingdom of God and his righteousness, with passion, because we know that we will be given what we seek and need.
Ephesians6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Perseverance is a relevant characteristic in the life of the Believer, it enables and distinguishes him, causing others to desire to imitate us; it can also happen that we awaken the envy of others and we are already warned against such a situation, in the same way doors are opened to introduce into the fold of the Lord those who are still outside.
Being persevering in what we do keeps us away from ignorance, understanding that the mastery of a subject, of a talent, highlights us in all areas of our life, and is even more remarkable in our life as followers of Christ. The one who shows greater capacity is the one who is assigned greater responsibilities, greater challenges and obtains greater rewards, in the spiritual is just as demanding.
