DON'T GET TIRED OF DOING GOOD
"Let us not get tired, then, of doing good; because in due time we will reap, if we do not lose heart". (Galatians 6:9)
Renato saw a lady in the car stopped on the side of the road. It was raining hard and it was night, but he realized that she needed help. So she stopped her car and approached him.
The lady thought that he could be a robber, because he did not inspire confidence, he seemed poor and hungry. Renato realized that she was afraid and told her: I'm here to help you ma'am, don't worry! Because you don't wait in the car that is warmer! By the way, my name is Renato. She had a flat tire and was elderly. Renato, I place the mechanical jack, raise the car and change the wheel. Then, she opened the window and began to talk with him, she told him that she was not from the place that she was passing through and that she did not know how to thank him for the precious help. Renato barely smiled.
She asked how much she owed him as she imagined terrible things that could have happened if Renato hadn't stopped to help her. Renato did not think about money, he liked to help people and said: "If you really want to pay me, the next time you find someone who needs your help, give that person the help they need and remember me.
Some kilometers later the lady stopped at a small restaurant, the waitress came up to her and brought her a clean towel to dry her wet hair and gave her a smile, the lady noticed that she was in an advanced pregnancy, but she did not let that stress and pain will change your attitude. The lady thought how someone having so little could treat a stranger so well? .
Then she remembered Renato and after she finished her meal and while the waitress was looking for the change, the lady left and when the waitress came back she was wondering where the lady could have gone, when she noticed something written on the napkin, on which he had 10 $100 bills, tears fell from his eyes when he read what the lady wrote, she said: You do not owe me anything, I have enough, someone helped me today and in the same way I am helping you, if you really you want to return this money to me, do not let this circle of love end with you, help someone.
That night when she returned to her house, exhausted from her, she went to bed. Her husband was already sleeping and she kept thinking about the money and what the lady had written for her, how could that lady know how much she and her husband needed that money, she kept thinking about the blessings she had received and smiled. She thanked God and turned to her worried husband who was sleeping next to her, gave him a kiss and whispered: Everything will be alright, I love you Renato.
