THE BEST IS COMING!
Philippians 4:6
"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done". (NLT)
I was about to cook a fish when my child suddenly began to cry, demanding that I give him the uncooked fish to eat. I tried telling him that the fish was raw, that I needed to spice it, grill, and then take out the bones for it to be ready for consumption. But the boy wouldn’t listen. He cried the more, and no one could comfort him, but I went ahead to do what was right. When the fish was done, he ate it and didn’t even remember all the drama he had put up.
The Holy Spirit began to minister to me that this is how many of us desperately crave a blessing that is not yet ready. We want everything at the speed of time; however, God might be saying: wait, I am spicing up the answers to your prayers, cooking it and taking out the sorrows so you will appreciate it to the fullest (Isaiah 40:31).
Similarly, if only my child knew that I was preparing the fish for him to enjoy it, he would have waited patiently instead of being anxious (Matthew 6:25-34).
As seen in our Bible reading, Apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Philippi as it applies to you today that you should not be worried about anything but pray and be thankful to God. Be still and know that God is with you always (Psalms 46:10-11).
This morning, you will say to yourself as Job said: ‘All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.’ (Job 14:14 - KJV).
