Mom and Our Need for Connection

📖BIBLICAL BASE
Isaiah 66: 12-13
_12 This is what the Lord says: _
_ «I will give Jerusalem a river of peace and prosperity. _
_The riches of the nations will flow to it. _
_Her children of her will feed on her breasts, _
_They will be carried in her arms and held on her legs. _
_13 I will comfort you there, in Jerusalem, _
_as a mother consoles her son.

Many times God in his Word shows us his love and provision by reflecting a form of maternal love.

Isaiah 66:12 and 13 reveal the Lord's final response to the faithful who seek him with all their hearts in the midst of an idolatrous and indifferent people. He will give his people a new creation so that they can fully enjoy it. And here we are shown the consolation of God for her chosen as when a mother comforts her children with her nutrition and her care.

The relationship that we have from birth with our mother is essential for the satisfaction of very deep needs such as connection, and as we can easily see, this relationship depends mainly on mother and the way she responds to the needs of her child.

This need for connection occurs through closeness, permanence, time invested, nutrition; not only physical but also emotional, and the security that mom provides with all these elements mentioned.

This form of mom's love is one of the most necessary for our healthy growth and development in every way. In this way, she becomes not only a person who loves us, but someone we can love, and this creates a deep attachment, which leads us to become healthily attached to other people, in our later years, as we go. creating clone relationships beyond the maternal bond.
