Primero que nada Saludarle y desearles que tenga un feliz maravilloso día a todas las personas. Felicitar a todos y todas los integrantes de esta ilustre comunidad cristiana e invitarles para que todos juntos nos coloquemos en comunión con nuestro padre celestial.

En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "Han oído que se dijo: Ama a tu prójimo y odia a tu enemigo. Yo, en cambio, les digo: Amen a sus enemigos, hagan el bien a los que los odian y rueguen por los que los persiguen y calumnian, para que sean hijos de su Padre celestial, que hace salir su sol sobre los buenos y los malos, y manda su lluvia sobre los justos y los injustos.

Porque, si ustedes aman a los que los aman, ¿qué recompensa merecen? ¿No hacen eso mismo los publicanos? Y si saludan tan sólo a sus hermanos, ¿qué hacen de extraordinario? ¿No hacen eso mismo los paganos? Ustedes, pues, sean perfectos, como su Padre celestial es perfecto". Palabra del Señor. Gloria a ti, Señor Jesús. Al escuchar estas palabras de Jesús, podríamos pensar: Jesús, ¿en qué mundo vives? ¿No te das cuenta de que esto no es posible vivirlo? Sin embargo, lo que acabamos de leer es Palabra de Dios, es la palabra que ha creado todo el universo y para la cual no hay nada imposible. Si Jesús dice que esto es lo que debemos hacer, es porque realmente es posible.

Quizás no de inicio, ni tampoco con gran facilidad; ciertamente, llegar a amar a quien nos ha hecho el mal, a quien nos ha ofendido y nos ha llevado "entre las patas" no es algo que se vaya a dar de manera inmediata, será todo un proceso de sanidad interior que Dios, por medio del Espíritu Santo que habita nuestros corazones, es capaz de hacer. Es por ello que para poder perdonar de corazón, para no dejar que los insultos y problemas nos lastimen y agobien, es necesario contar con la gracia de Dios, que nos viene de una vida espiritual intensa.

La perfección en todos los ámbitos de nuestra vida, requiere tenacidad, orden y tiempo para ejercitarse. Pues lo mismo ocurre en la vida espiritual. En la medida en que ordenamos nuestra vida para poder tener un buen rato de oración, y con constancia dedicamos tiempo a la lectura de la Palabra, siendo asiduos a la meditación y a la caridad, en esa medida nos iremos dando cuenta de lo hermoso que es la vida del Reino y desde ahí podremos, no sólo hacer lo que hoy nos pide el Señor, sino incluso cosas mucho mayores.

Listening to these words of Jesus, we might think: Jesus, in what world do you live? that this is not possible to live? However, what we have just read is the Word of God, it is the word that has created the entire universe and for which nothing is impossible. If Jesus says that this is what we must do, it is because it really is possible.

Perhaps not initially, nor with great ease; Certainly, coming to love someone who has done us harm, someone who has offended us and taken us "between the legs" is not something that is going to happen immediately, it will be a whole process of inner healing that God, for through the Holy Spirit who dwells in our hearts, is capable of doing. That is why in order to forgive from the heart, in order not to let insults and problems hurt and overwhelm us, it is necessary to have the grace of God, which comes to us from an intense spiritual life.

Perfection in all areas of our lives requires tenacity, order and time to exercise. Well, the same thing happens in the spiritual life. To the extent that we order our lives to be able to have a good time in prayer, and we constantly dedicate time to reading the Word, being assiduous in meditation and charity, to that extent we will realize how beautiful it is the life of the Kingdom and from there we will not only be able to do what the Lord asks of us today, but even much greater things.
