No hay ninguna duda que el deseo de Dios siempre ha sido prosperar y bendecir a los que son obedientes a sus mandatos. La prosperidad es algo que viene del Corazón del Padre y no es algo que se logre con esfuerzos humanos. Podemos obtener grandes riquezas materiales y obtener logros, pero eso no significa que sea la prosperidad del cielo. Un corazón obediente y fiel a Dios es un “candidato idóneo” para recibir de las bendiciones del Dios Eterno. La Prosperidad no es un fin, es el resultado de caminar en fidelidad y fe.
El corazón juega un papel fundamental en todo este tema que atañe la vida del creyente. Es el corazón lo que Dios observa, prueba y examina para ver cuán íntegros, fieles y obedientes podemos ser para alcanzar la bendición. Un corazón torcido y que tiende a lo malo, jamás será merecedor de la prosperidad de Dios. Nos engañamos al creer que la prosperidad se mide por lo que materialmente poseemos, eso es algo muy alejado de la realidad porque podemos tenerlo todo y sentirnos vacíos al mismo tiempo, podemos tener fama y fortuna y al mismo tiempo desagradar a Dios.
En fin una vida prosperada es aquella que se deja tratar a profundidad por El Espíritu Santo, que acepta los procesos de Dios y se rinde cada día a Su Soberanía, Una persona prospera es agradecida y se somete a la Voluntad del Padre comprendiendo que Su paz, Su fortaleza, Su respaldo, Su gozo le cubren cada día aunque no posea riquezas y fama.
Pero puede dar Dios riquezas? Por supuesto que sí, pero todo tiene que ver con Su propósito en nuestras vidas. Si Dios prospera económicamente a alguien es porque ha sido obediente y fiel a Su palabra y al mismo tiempo ese recurso debe usarse conforme al plan por el cual Dios lo asignó.
La teología de la prosperidad ha hecho un gran daño a lo largo del tiempo en los creyentes, distorsionando el enfoque que debe tener la verdadera prosperidad que viene del Dios Eterno. Por eso observamos gente que literalmente se desgastan buscando la “bendición”, cuando realmente la Biblia nos enseña que las bendiciones nos alcanzarán como resultado de la obediencia y el temor a Dios, tal como está escrito en Deutoronomio capítulo 28.
El desenfoque por obtener la “prosperidad” y las riquezas nos hacen olvidarnos de los principios de Dios para alcanzarla, provocando que nos creamos que somos nosotros los que lo obtenemos y nos resultado de la bondad de Dios y su fidelidad para con nosotros, como dice la Biblia:
“y digas en tu corazón: Mi poder y la fuerza de mi mano me han traído esta riqueza. Sino acuérdate de Jehová tu Dios, porque él te da el poder para hacer las riquezas, a fin de confirmar su pacto que juró a tus padres, como en este día”. Deuteronomio 8: 17-18
Guardamos nuestro corazón, seamos gradecidos, fieles y obedientes al Señor teniendo una vida que le agrade a Él para poder ser prosperados con paz, salud y por qué no también la bendición financiera, pero no para ser gente egoísta y egocéntrica sino para cumplir sus planes y ayudar a los demás.

There is no doubt that God's desire has always been to prosper and bless those who are obedient to his commands. Prosperity is something that comes from the Heart of the Father and is not something that is achieved with human efforts. We can obtain great material riches and achieve achievements, but that does not mean that it is the prosperity of heaven. An obedient and faithful heart to God is a “suitable candidate” to receive the blessings of the Eternal God. Prosperity is not an end, it is the result of walking in fidelity and faith.
The heart plays a fundamental role in this whole issue that concerns the life of the believer. It is the heart that God watches, tests and examines to see how upright, faithful and obedient we can be to reach the blessing. A crooked heart that tends to evil will never be worthy of God's prosperity. We delude ourselves into believing that prosperity is measured by what we materially possess, that is something very far from reality because we can have everything and feel empty at the same time, we can have fame and fortune and at the same time displease God.
In short, a prosperous life is one that allows itself to be treated in depth by the Holy Spirit, who accepts God's processes and surrenders every day to His Sovereignty, A prosperous person is grateful and submits to the Will of the Father, understanding that His peace, His strength, His support, His joy cover him every day even if he does not have wealth and fame.
But can God give riches? Of course it does, but it all has to do with His purpose in our lives. If God prospers someone financially, it is because they have been obedient and faithful to His word and at the same time that resource must be used according to the plan for which God assigned it.
Prosperity theology has done great damage over time to believers, distorting the focus that true prosperity that comes from the Eternal God should have. That is why we observe people who literally wear themselves out looking for the “blessing”, when the Bible really teaches us that the blessings will come to us as a result of obedience and the fear of God, as it is written in Deuteronomy chapter 28.
The blurring of obtaining "prosperity" and wealth make us forget God's principles to achieve it, causing us to believe that we are the ones who obtain it and the result of God's goodness and his fidelity to us, as he says the Bible:
And say in your heart: My power and the strength of my hand have brought me this wealth. But remember Jehovah your God, because he gives you the power to get wealth, in order to confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as on this day. Deuteronomy 8: 17-18
Let us keep our hearts, let us be grateful, faithful and obedient to the Lord by having a life that pleases Him in order to be prospered with peace, health and why not also the financial blessing, but not to be selfish and self-centered people but to fulfill his plans and help others.
