¿Cómo Dios nos habla? // How does God speak to us? by @johansilvad
Pues Dios habla una y otra vez, aunque la gente no lo reconozca. (Job: 33: 14)
En una oportunidad escuché a una persona decir con molestia lo siguiente: “Cómo es posible que haya gente afirmando que Dios les habla, cuando Dios es tan grande y perfecto como para rebajarse y hablarnos al oído a nosotros, eso es incomprensible”. Esta interrogante llena de escepticismo denota el desconocimiento que hay acerca de Dios y su Soberanía. En primer lugar Dios no se limita a nuestro razonamiento para hacer su obra “su extraña obra”, nuestras limitaciones muchas veces nos hacen creer que Dios solamente hace lo que tiene que hacer y que siempre debemos entender lo que hace, pero no es así.
Dios siempre busca el corazón del hombre para que enderece s camino y se aparte del pecado y sus consecuencias, es así como Eliú intenta razonar con Job, quien afligido por todo lo que Dios permitió que atravesara, empezó a cuestionar a Dios y hasta llegó a pensar que lo tenía como su enemigo porque no entendió el por qué de su situación y mucho menos comprendió lo que Dios intentaba decirle y enseñarle. Es allí cuando Eliú pronuncia en su exhortación las maneras cómo Dios habla desde el versículo 15 al 18:
Habla en sueños, en visiones nocturnas, cuando el sueño profundo cae sobre las personas mientras están acostadas. Susurra a sus oídos y las aterroriza con advertencias. Él hace que se aparten de sus malas acciones; no las deja caer en el orgullo. Él las protege de la tumba, de cruzar el río de la muerte.
Ahora bien ¿qué podemos aprender nosotros hoy sobre esta escena?, pues que Dios tiene muchas maneras de hablar al ser humano para que podamos comprender su Voluntad. Dios es creativo y puede usar cualquier cosa para transmitirnos un mensaje o una advertencia. Para los que hemos leído las sagradas escrituras sabemos que hasta a Balaam le habló a través de un asna, algo insólito pero cierto
Debemos saber que Dios nos habla a través de su Santa Palabra, nos puede hablar por sus siervos y ministros, a través de algún hermano en la fe, a través de sueños o visiones, por por sus ángeles, por medio de la naturaleza, a través de la oración, en fin en Su Soberanía Dios a cada uno nos hablará de una manera particular pero siempre con un propósito. No podemos limitar a Dios ni su accionar en nuestro ámbito natural, Él siempre es y será más grande y no se regirá por leyes humanas o físicas.
La Palabra de Dios nos da evidencia clara de que Él por amor al ser humano habla y se comunica con el fin de traer dirección y orden. Le habló a Adán en el Edén, le habló e instruyó a Noé para construir el arca, a Abraham y a Moisés, en fin la Biblia muestra que hay ejemplos innumerables, por lo tanto si lo hizo lo seguirá haciendo. Tomemos muy en cuenta que teniendo la Biblia a disposición, por ella nos revelará su plan y propósito por lo que es una de las maneras más claras y poderosas para hablarnos a nuestro corazón y comprender su Voluntad.
Lo realmente importante también es recibir la instrucción que Dios transmite al hablarnos, obedecerla y permitir que nuestro corazón sea tratado por Él.
For God speaks over and over again, even though people don't recognize him. (Job:33:14)
On one occasion, I heard a person say the following with annoyance: "How is it possible that there are people claiming that God speaks to them, when God is so great and perfect as to lower himself and speak into our ears, that is incomprehensible." This question full of skepticism denotes the ignorance that there is about God and his Sovereignty. In the first place, God is not limited to our reasoning to do his work "his strange work", our limitations often make us believe that God only does what he has to do and that we must always understand what he does, but it is not like that.
God always seeks the heart of man to straighten his path and turn away from sin and its consequences, this is how Elihu tries to reason with Job, who, afflicted by everything that God allowed him to go through, began to question God and even came to To think that she had him as her enemy because she did not understand the reason for her situation, much less understood what God was trying to tell her and teach her. It is there when Elihu pronounces in his exhortation the ways in which God speaks from verses 15 to 18:
He speaks in dreams, in night visions, when deep sleep falls on people while they are lying down. He whispers in their ears and terrifies them with warnings. He makes them turn away from their bad deeds; does not let them fall into pride. He protects them from the grave, from crossing the river of death.
Now, what can we learn today about this scene? God has many ways of speaking to human beings so that we can understand his Will. God is creative and can use anything to convey a message or a warning to us. For those of us who have read the holy scriptures, we know that he even spoke to Balaam through a donkey, something unusual but true.
We must know that God speaks to us through his Holy Word, he can speak to us through his servants and ministers, through a brother in faith, through dreams or visions, through his angels, through nature, through Through prayer, in short, in His Sovereignty, God will speak to each of us in a particular way but always with a purpose. We cannot limit God or his actions in our natural environment, He always is and will be greater and will not be governed by human or physical laws.
God's Word gives us clear evidence that He speaks and communicates out of love for mankind in order to bring direction and order. He spoke to Adam in Eden, he spoke and instructed Noah to build the ark, Abraham and Moses, in short, the Bible shows that there are innumerable examples, therefore if he did it he will continue to do so. Let us take into account that having the Bible at our disposal, through it he will reveal his plan and purpose to us for what is one of the clearest and most powerful ways to speak to our hearts and understand his Will.
What is really important is also receiving the instruction that God transmits by speaking to us, obeying it and allowing our hearts to be treated by Him.
