GOD’S INSTRUCTION VS MAN’S INTELLIGENCE

It is an amazing truth that man’s intelligence cannot improve on God’s instruction. There are those who in a bid to showcase their intelligence seek to improve on the instruction of God for their lives. Anything you do in a response to a self styled improvement of God’s instruction cannot suffice for the obedience His instruction demands from you. It is either you are obeying fully, or you are not obeying at all.

It is wrong for you to seek to expand, deflate or modify God’s instruction to suit your selfish ambition. You cannot be wiser than God. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 1:25 that “the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is wiser than men”. God is His own interpreter; whatever God wants to pass to you, He is able to communicate to you. You will do well by having it as He told you and by complying accordingly.

There is information you need to keep handy, if you seek to maximize the benefits of divine instructions: it is the truth that God’s ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. When you seek to subject the instructions of the all knowing God to the analysis of your finite mind, you are bound to walk in error.

No matter how far you go with God, you can never become too intelligent to seek to expand or modify God’s instructions. Who do you think you are? You will do well by keeping in focus that “we are but of yesterday, and know nothing” Job 8:9.

King Saul took it upon himself to modify the instruction God gave him, to go and utterly destroy the Amalekites and it did not go well with him. He was to destroy man and beast. On getting there, he felt there was a need for modification. He spared Agag the king for the actual reason of self actualization. He spared the best of their sheep and oxen in a purported sacrifice unto the God who had commanded that nothing be spared in the land.

How does that work? If God had turned around to accept such an “intelligent” and disobedient sacrifice, He would have contradicted Himself. God will not contradict Himself; with Him there is no variableness nor shadow of turning.
