EXPECT YOUR MEAT TO COME FROM ABOVE AND NOT FROM ABROAD.

While it is true that God gives meat to all men in their due season; it is equally true that your kind of meat from God may not be the kind of meat for another person. Seeking to have another person’s kind of meat from God may not augur well for the accomplishment of God’s purpose for your life. It is commonly said that one man’s meat is another man’s poison.

The Bible says in Psalm 145:16; that, God opens His hand, and satisfieth the desire of every living thing. Nothing gainsays the abundant satisfaction due you from God; but, expecting it to come through for you the same way it came for another person, could be very erroneous. Many today are stagnated in life, because they have their eyes fixed on other people’s meat from God, instead of having their eyes fixed on God Who giveth meat to all men. The Psalmist in a very profound manner proclaimed –

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, Which made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2).

Expect your meat to come from above and not from abroad. Stop looking around, begin to look up” “Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2).

Let the channeling of your meat be as determined by God. No matter the way you might have fashioned out for yourself, stay open to God and let Him direct your path: “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps” (Proverbs 16:9). The way opened to one may not be the way opened unto another. The underlying truth is that everyone hooked unto God will have his or her way opened by God; because God openeth His hand and satisfieth the desire of all living: but the way He chooses for Himself is what you cannot determine by yourself. Away with how you feel it should be done, away with what you feel it should be; let God be God in your life and you will be abundantly satisfied with the meat He gives.

The way God opened for the Israelites through the Red sea was not meant for the advancement of the Egyptians, who vigorously pursued from behind. Seeking to explore the way God opened to the Israelites, the Egyptians were overthrown in the midst of the sea. Seeking to explore the way opened to other men at the expense of your divinely appointed path in life; you will be badly exploited in life. God deals with us in the uniqueness of our make up. Always remember; that, “it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture” (Psalm 100:3). Stay open to God and let Him work out His purpose for your life and you shall be abundantly satisfied.
