Jesus Christ has clothed us with glory

"Jesus entered again into Capernaum after a few days; and it was heard that he was in the house. And immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room, not even at the door; and he preached the word to them. Then came they to him, bringing one paralytic, who was loaded for four. And when they could not come near him because of the multitude, they uncovered the roof from whence he was: and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed whereon the sick of the palsy lay.

Seeing Jesus' faith in

The powerful word that no one but God can pronounce

We just read Mark chapter 2 as today's Bible reading, and here we see that the people were in awe of what Jesus did to the paralyzed man. Jesus was staying in a house in Capernaum, and when the news spread that he was there, a large crowd had gathered and the house was overflowing with people. And there, something else was happening too. Strange and incomprehensible events were unfolding on the roof of the house where Jesus was staying: four men were working hard to remove the roof of the house, so that they could lower the paralyzed man in his bed into the house. To the people who saw this scene, breaking the roof of someone else's house and bringing the paralyzed man down to Jesus was pointless, but they must have found it quite intriguing as well. When the curiosity of the crowd began, everyone's attention turned to Jesus for the salvation of mankind.
