Appearance of Evil

1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

In the world, there is evil and the appearance of it before us daily. Most times we are faced with the challenge of correcting the evil that people did or are doing within our space.

The Almighty God expects us to be His true ambassadors, especially in handling evil situations in a way that glorifies His name.

Thus, today He admonish us to abstain from anything evil and never be seen getting involved with what does not glorify God.

The appearance of evil might be ungodly association, ungodly habit, falsehood or rebellion against constituted authority.

Beware of friends that see evil as a normal thing and abstain from them. Let us not be counted among those involved in evil acts in our society.

Let our dressing, speech, attitudes towards people and professional conduct preach Christ to people that see us. This is God's desire towards us.

Dear Lord, thank you for the grace to serve you in the midst of evil around us. Please empower us to overcome every temptation to be involved in evil appearances, in Jesus name. Amen.
