Some people explain the John 14:2-3 to mean that Jesus went to Heaven to build mansions for us. So, in their thought, if someone gives his or her life to Christ, God begins to build a mansion for that new born again in Heaven. But they didn't remember that the Bible says “...the works were already finished from the beginning of the world” (Hebrews 4:3). The heaven is the most beautiful place, and it has already been constructed.

It's a simple answer: The Bible says Jesus was winner in hell, and when He came to His disciples in Galilee, He said, “...All hail” (Matthew 28:9). Then He went to Heaven and He was given a place! That place given to Him is not a chair that's placed beside Father or close to Father; He got Father’s seat! He has set on the throne of Father; the Majesty in heavens. Jesus sit at the place of the highest power. Then the Bible says, “If you were raised with Christ then, look for those things that are above, place where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God” (Colossians 3:1 NKJV).

Everything that Lord Jesus did was for us. The place He went to made for us is the place at the Father's right hand; He got us a place with Himself in glory. Now in the heavenly realms, we are seated together with Him. Hebrews 9:24 says, "Christ didn't enter the holy places that's made with hands, which are the true figures; but to heaven, now to appear God's presence for us.” so far Jesus is in Heaven, we are represented well in heaven.
