The devil is interested in our hearts, and in Proverbs 23:26 the Lord calls us to give him our hearts:

"Give me, my son, your heart, and let your eyes see my ways."

The heart is what regulates your life. If your heart is at peace, your life is at peace. The pumping of life is at the center, and therefore the Lord calls us to protect it.

If we protect the source, we will enjoy great things in God. What we can enjoy from God depends on what comes from our hearts.
