WISDOM FOR PROGRESSION
The most important thing in life is wisdom.
Money is necessary but not very important. Money, cloth, education will fail us but wisdom will never leave or fail us for life.
JAMES 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Vs. 5
Why would scripture say let anyone who lacks wisdom let him ask of God? It is true that man should have wealth or money, and education but if any man has those things and lacks wisdom is worse because in life only the wise can live through the wisdom of God.
Jesus Christ like the writer wrote is the giver of wisdom and only when a man sees that he lacks wisdom in his words and actions then decides to come to God to ask receives.
MEANING OF WISDOM
Wisdom is the ability to use your experience and knowledge in order to make sensible decisions or judgement.
Any man who lacks wisdom is referred to as a fool in his words and actions.
PROVERBS 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Vs. 7
REASONS FOR WISDOM
- For durable riches
PROVERB 8:18
Riches and honour are with me; durable wealth and righteousness. Vs. 18
- Wisdom carries blessings that are better than gold.
PROVERBS 8:19
My fruit is better than fine gold, yea, than pure gold; and my revenue than choice silver. Vs. 19
- Wisdom teaches Righteousness.
PROVERBS 8:20
I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: Vs. 20
- Wisdom causes those who love her to fill their treasures and inherit substance.
PROVERBS 8:21
To cause my lovers to inherit substance, Yea, their treasures I fill. Vs. 21
- Wisdom brings promotion and preservation.
PROVERBS 4:8
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. Vs. 8
- Wisdom makes a man's way or paths straight and smooth.
PROVERBS 4:12
When you go, your steps will not be hampered. When you run, you will not stumble. Vs. 12
There is reward in been wise.
2 CHRONICLES 1:7-12
In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee. Vs. 7
And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. Vs. 8
Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. Vs. 9
Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? Vs.10
And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: Vs. 11
Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. Vs. 12
Uncle Solomon saw the reward of been wise that was why he asked for nothing but for only wisdom because of that, God added all other things. Uncle Solomon had double of what he requested.
Wisdom can lift a man from one stage of promotion to the other.
PROVERBS 14:8
The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception Vs. 8
One who is wise stays away from evil because wisdom leads it path.
Wisdom is in the word of God. Seek wisdom from the word of God.
