SERVE GOD ALONE AND ENJOY HIS BENEFITS
God demands full commitment from all His children. If we say we are born again, then we should learn to serve God and him alone.
In God's kingdom, there is no room for partial commitment.It is either you are committed or not committed. It is impossible to say we are serving God and still going out to serve other fetish powers.
You cannot serve God and mammon at the same time. It is either you are serving one and despising the other.
MATTHEW 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Vs. 24
God is a jealous God and does not share His glory with any man. We should learn to be committed to Him alone.
EXODUS 34:14
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: Vs. 14
Don't try to serve Him hypocritically, outwardly, you behave like He is all we have, but inside, we bow to other fetish powers or graven image. God cannot be mocked.
Service to God wholeheartedly has a lot of benefit and when we learn to serve Him alone,we shall receive reward.
PSALM 33;8-11
Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. Vs. 8
For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. Vs. 9
The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. Vs. 10
The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Vs. 11
Serve Him alone and fear Him for whatever He says stand sure. He made the things or people who we take them as gods and can bring their counsel to nought.
He is the only one that we should serve because only Him has the final say.
NUMBERS 14:24
But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.
EXODUS 23:24-26
Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images. Vs. 24
And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. Vs. 25
There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill. Vs. 26
HEBREWS 1:9
Thou has loved righteousness and hated iniquity, therefore God even thy God hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Vs. 9
