MAXIMIZING THE DIVINE OPPORTUNITY
EPHESIANS 5:14-20
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. Vs. 14
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Vs. 15
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Vs. 16
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Vs. 17
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Vs. 18
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Vs. 19
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Vs. 20
WHAT DOES MAXIMIZING MEANS?
MAXIMIZE
It means making the best use of something or using something to the fullest.
Most times the opportunity given to us by God isn’t for the now, but it is for the future.
KINDS OF OPPORTUNITY
- Opportunity to be saved
- Opportunity to do good
- Opportunity to give help
- Opportunity to do God’s work
- Opportunity to demand
- Opportunity to create a good impression
- Opportunity to preach the word of God
HOW TO MAXIMIZE THE OPPORTUNITY
- By waking up
- By being sensitive
- By responding to God
- By being active
REVELATION 3:1-3
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Vs. 1
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Vs. 2
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Vs. 3
