BE GUIDED BY GOD

2 Chronicles 35
21 And Necao sent messengers to him, saying, What have I with you, king of Judah? I am not coming against you today, but against the house that makes war on me; and God has told me to hurry.
Stop opposing God, who is with me, lest he destroy you.
22 Mas Josías did not retire, but it was disguised to give battle to him, and it did not pay attention to the words of Necao, that were of mouth of God; and he came to fight him in the field of Megiddo.
23 And the archers shot against King Josiah. Then the king said to his servants: Get me out of here, because I am seriously wounded.

Josías was a man who came to the kingdom from a very young age, he was inspired by kings who had been good, he feared God, he took care of the restoration of the temple, but his death also allows us to see a great teaching and the importance of always seeking the direction of God, no matter what has happened Before. The future podium of a close relationship with God but still should not be relied on, but strengthen that relationship daily.
In this chapter we can read how Josías acts in his own prudence and opinion, due to this he gets involved in a big problem, meddling in a lawsuit that was not his, which led to his death.

Although he had acted correctly in the eyes of God, always accompanied by the prophet Jeremiah, this time he made a mistake that was very expensive.

Well, he had to fulfill the word that God gave him that his people would be judged only after his death.
Although he was a king who chose a prophet of God to be his adviser, a good king, he made a bad decision and for this he died.

You wonder why if he was a righteous man he couldn't have another chance? Simply because that time he was facing, not against Neco, but against the word that God himself had spoken through him.

God had given an order to Neco, and this time Josiah opposed God's own order, so he could not be saved.
Neco warned him that he was on God's side, however despite the warnings, King Josiah confronted Neco on the plain of Megiddo.

And in the middle of the battle—to which he had not been called—he was seriously wounded. The situation was so serious that he died. The people mourned the death of someone who was a good ruler.

Without a doubt, this story will help him reflect on the need to be careful and not interfere in matters that are none of his business. When we act recklessly, we will most likely end up in trouble. Ask God for wisdom so as not to make mistakes. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches.

Being prudent is acting at the right time, when God tells us to, not moved by emotions that finally betrays us. It is nothing more than knowing when and under what circumstances to do things.

Prudence. Let us be guided by God. Do not enter into conflicts to which we were not called.
