Este es uno de los Salmos que tal vez conocemos mucho, y es propicia la ocasión para rememorar las promesas de Dios a nuestra vida pero también es un pasaje que nos exhorta a conocer a Dios mas de cerca, a conocer quién es El en nuestra vida y lo que es capaz de hacer por sus ovejas.

El Señor nos hace una emblemática y muy significativa comparación con las "ovejas". Es parte de la cultura de Israel el pastorear ovejas, el Señor Jesús siempre buscó y ha buscado la forma de darse a conocer a través de lo cotidiano y conocido, con el único propósito de revelarse a nuestra vida de una manera sencilla.

Dios se reveló a David como su pastor en momentos de angustia y escribe este Salmo desde su propia experiencia como pastor de ovejas. Quié n mejor que David para conocer qué es dejarse pastorear, él lo hacía todos los días y conocía los beneficios de pastorear y ser pastoreado.

El Señor promete que si confiamos a El, el gobierno sobre nuestras vidas "nada nos faltará", y no es fácil dejarse pastorear porque somos independientes por naturaleza y tratamos de valernos por nosotros mismos, tomamos nuestras propias decisiones y no consultamos a Dios y cuando viene la corrección entonces nos salimos del rebaño.

The Lord promises that if we entrust to Him the government over our lives "we shall lack nothing", and it is not easy to let ourselves be shepherded because we are independent by nature and we try to fend for ourselves, we make our own decisions and we do not consult God and when correction comes then we leave the flock.

Amigo, nada somos y nada podemos alcanzar sino es con la ayuda y el cuidado de Dios, no es en nuestras propias fuerzas sino con la ayuda de su Espíritu.

Friend, we are nothing and we can achieve nothing but with the help and care of God, not in our own strength but with the help of His Spirit.

Hoy aprendemos que dejarnos pastorear trae seguridad de pertenecer a un redil donde nada nos faltará y su cuidado permanecerá. No sabemos cómo Dios lo hará pero si Él lo dijo El lo cumplirá.

Today we learn that letting ourselves be shepherded brings the security of belonging to a sheepfold where nothing will be lacking and His care will remain. We do not know how God will do it, but if He said it, He will do it.
