Why do you fret over nothing?
27."Which of you by taking thoughts can add one cubit his structure" Matthew 6:27
It is great futility to fret over things we cannot change. Paul cautioned us not to fret or be anxious for anything. Rather, whatever is our need or source of worry should drive us to God. As a young girl, I thought God loved boys more than girls because people people acted as though boys were superior to girls.
In my heart therefore, I wanted to be a boy and as such started dressing like a boy by dressing like that. However, I as I was growing older and got closer to God, I realized that it was not worth the trouble. I noticed that there were women who succeeded as much as men in the endeavours just as there are others who have failed woefully just as some men. It was no accident that God made some men and other women.

There is this sister that I met few years ago who always felt miserable because she believed she was too short to be married to a man as a wife. Her prayer was that God should make her taller than she is. I was very upset with this sister, I couldn't imagine that someone who was a graduate of Botany and was gainfully employed, living alone in her house. I mean why would she worry about height. For crying out loud, what has height got to do with being a wife "a good wife".
Well, I took her matter to my spiritual father who invited her to meet with him, and after prayers and talking sense to her, she changed her misconception about her height and right now she's married with a bouncing baby boy which she just put to birth two days ago. I couldn't withhold my joy when she called to break the good news that she's now a woman and a mother'. I intuitively replied "indeed you are finally a woman and a mother, a short mother as a matter of fact.
She understood the humor in the statement and laugh over the phone while hanging up. Beloved could there be a similar situation in your life? Is there something that gets you fret when it's actually nothing.
Please try your best to accept the fate and good things that God has given to you, because God says that "the blessing of the Lord makes rich and it adds no sorrow.
Lord I appreciate the way that you have created me the way I am.
