You have what it takes

1 Corinthians 10:13 Amp.

[13]For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

Nothing is new under the sun. The truth is some people are experiencing it for the first time. Many Christians are frightened and demoralized by tempting thoughts, feeling guilty that day I aren't beyond temptation. Some people felt ashamed just for being tempted. I want you to know today that no one will ever outgrow temptation. Temptation is a sign that Satan hates you, not a sign of weakness or worldliness. Be realistic about the inevitability of temptation, for it will always come.

Therefore, I said to you that it is not a sin to be tempted. Our Lord Jesus Christ was also tempted, yet he never sinned. The devil tried him several times but He did not fall for it. You cannot stop the devil from suggesting thoughts, but you can choose not to dwell or act on them. Without God's help and backing, you will become helpless before any temptation that comes your way.

I want you to know that heaven has a 24-hour emergency hotline for you to call. God wants you to ask him for assistance in overcoming temptations. Psalm 50 verse 15 6

call upon me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

If God is waiting to help you defeat temptations, why don't you turn to him more often. Honestly, sometimes we don't want to be helped. Many want to give in to temptations even went below that it is wrong. Just as roots grow stronger when wind blows against a tree, so every time you stand up to a temptation and resist the devil, you become more like Jesus.
