Jesus has commanded us to love.
The basis of Christianity is love
God showed us love by sacrificing his begotten son so that we sinners can be saved.
It for this cause that is why we are saved.
When Christ came, he demonstrated love in diverse ways and it's all seen in the Bible.
Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
So it's clear that Jesus did good when he came to us.
Before he left, he gave us a new commandment that we should love.
Mathew 22: 37-39
37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
God showed us love, Christ also showed us love so, he wants us to also show love.
First to love God and second to love our neighbors.
Through love many people accept Christ when he came, so Christ wants us to continue in his love so that we can win souls for him.
