The Steemit platform is a blogging Decentralized platform, we can say is open-source, where people are allowed to create articles or contents based on originality, also get involved with curation rewards, voting by other content creators, as well curation gotten from the reward pool. The proof of brain (POB) here, is the creation of an article by an author which is plagiarism free, sourced or cited well if there be need, has quality and is readable to others,
The capability of other users on the steemit platform finding your content to be nice and interesting will then give out rewards to the post by making use of their Steem power ( SP ) by upvoting or downvoting. It might be downvoted if the content contains plagiarism.
The meaning of curation in Steemit
Curation is when an author get upvotes from other authors for creating a quality and interesting content on the platform.
Curation in the steemit platform is carried out when your content attracts attention of an author, that is to say it was properly written and readable, the author then goes through the content, if he/she finds it interesting then it obtains an upvote. In a case whereby the post might contain some percentage of plagiarism, he or she might then seek the attention of the author. Any author who involves him or herself with other authors post thereby going through it, checking it's quality and usefulness, reading, resteeming to other followers, commenting is curating.
Steem Power is very important and of good use in the Steemit platform.some of its benefits are;
It allows the user to perform Various activities on the platform..such activities like curating, resteeming, voting (Upvote or downvote) of an authors post.
it increases one influence and reputation on the platform..having much SP attracts more followers, mentioning you on the platform.
Building SP also levels up ones voting power which can be used in curating other users post.
Building SP helps one in building a community with direct motive also in supporting other peoples content.
Building SP helps one to earn more from curation rewards.
It also makes you to be eligible to partake in the Steemit crypto Academy community.
Self Upvote on the Steemit platform doesn't add any value. When one upvotes him or herself, It singular act do not add to the proof of brain mechanism. Self Upvote is a bad social behavior in the Steemit platform as it don't motivate a good quality post.
