Q 1). Do you think the Metaverse is "the next level of Future Technology"? Explain your personal opinion by showing some evidence.
The games we played and the movies we watched were in a single universe. He was in his own universe. For example, the Hulk The Hulk was originally a normal scientist. As a result of an accident in his laboratory, he was exposed to too much gamma rays and changed. He turned into a Green monster when he got angry. This is how we got to know him for the first time in his films.
These days, the Hulk isn't just in his movies anymore. Along with superheroes like him, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and Spider-man, he fights against Thanos, one of the worst in the universe. All of the above superheroes had their own movies. Now, all the superheroes are in one movie and this situation has attracted the attention of the audience.
The same goes for the DC universe. We can see Batman and Superman heroes in the same movie. Actually, the examples above are not enough, but they are examples that tell us how people approach the idea of metaverse. People welcomed and loved the gathering of many different universes in one universe.
In the screenshot above, we can see the reflection in the cinema industry of the merging of many single universes and becoming a metaverse. There are three Marver Cinematic Universe films in the top ten highest-grossing films.
As humans, we love this idea.
The greatest technological advancement of the future is the gathering of the universes that already exist in our lives under one roof. In addition, developing VR technology makes this easier and promises to be easily connected to this world from our homes. While living in the comfort of our home, going places we would not normally go, meeting with our distant friends and relatives, shopping, playing games, watching the cinema as if it were a part of the characters in the cinema are the developments we expect with VR technology. In other words, the development of VR technology will always reflect positively on the idea of Metaverse.
Q 2). Explain why Metaverse and Blockchain are compatible technology pairs.
Blockchain contributes a lot to the development and acceptance of the Metaverse concept.
So how?
Blockchain is decentralized. No outsider can interfere. Blockchain has protection from outside interference. Algorithms such as PoW, PoS protect the information on the blockchain and make it immutable. When someone from the outside tries to change the old information, the records in the distributed ledgers kept in all the nodes in the system realize that this is unrealistic and make it impossible to intervene in the system.
In the light of the above information, let's assume that you buy a plot or a weapon for your character in a blockchain-based game. This is usually an NFT. It is recorded in the blockchain system that what you buy belongs to you. All users in the system can see and verify that NFT belongs to you at any time. Thus, an outsider cannot steal, take or claim it from you.
Now let's look at why the blockchain system is an inseparable pair with the metaverse.
Let's think, there is a weapon belonging to your character in the metaverse. But there is only. And let's assume that there is no blockchain system. In this case, how is Metaverse different from the weapons in the Call of Duty game we played in the past? In old games, you would install the game on your computer. You used to play. The system would crash, your memory files would be erased, you would format and everything would be lost. You would start all over again. I can't count how many times I've started and finished Resident Evil 5 over and over again.
Metaverse is an inseparable pair with the blockchain system. Everything you own in the Metaverse stays there forever. Since everything is recorded in the blockchain system, all records are verified by everyone, and it is a decentralized system, the blockchain system cannot be separate from Metaverse. Blockchain is crucial to the development of the metaverse.

The metaverse project I chose to examine in this assignment is the Star Atlas Project. This project is awaited by many people. Although it has not been released yet, its fan base is wide due to its promises in the future.
Star Atlas is a project running on the Solana network.
Roughly speaking, Star Atlas is a space game, but it would be doing the project an injustice if we just said that and passed it off.

says in its mainpage. Thus, in this game, we will be able to explore in space, try to establish political domination and make regional conquests.
We will be able to do all these things as a ship owner. We can buy ships from the Marketplace in the game menu. Ship sales are active now. So we can buy ships.
In the screenshot above, you can see how the ships look in the market. Each ship is suitable for doing a different job. Each ship can have a crew depending on the characteristics of the ship. In addition, expenses such as crew costs, fuel costs will have to be made. Ships have varying degrees of rarity.
In the screenshot above, you see the cheapest ship sold in the market. The ship's name is Opal Jet. Rarity Uncommon. There are 129592 of these ships and an opal jet costs 20 USDC.
There are two tokens in this game. The first is the Star Atlas DAO (POLIS) token. POLIS Token will have many uses. It can be staked and tokens will be earned as a stake reward. In addition, stakers will have more influence in voting when making political decisions in-game.
As you can see above, it has a price of $ 8.17 at the time of writing. Its total supply is 360,000,000 but its current circulating supply is 21,600,000.
The second token in this game is Star Atlas (ATLAS). ATLAS is an in-game earning token. We will earn ATLAS tokens from all the ship activities and daily missions I listed above. We will also spend ATLAS tokens for in-game spending. In short, all earnings and expenses in the game will be based on the ATLAS token.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the value of the ATLAS token is $0.16 at the time of this writing. Its total supply is 36,000,000,000 grains. Its circulating supply is 2,160,000,000.

In the screenshot above, you see the red rectangle in the lower left. In the part I mentioned, we can log in to the game using a wallet. Let's check it.
When you click on the Connect Wallet link, you see the Solana Wallets supported by the game. The game's recommended wallet is PhantomWallet. If you have installed any of these in your browser before, you can connect. Since I have installed Phantomwallet before, I will enter the game with PhantomWallet.
In the screenshot above, when I clicked on the option to login with PahntomWallet, it asked me to enter my password, which I set for logging into my wallet, which I had previously set up on my browser and whose password I have.
When I enter my password correctly, you can see two signs that I can connect to the game without any problems in the screenshot below.

I mentioned at the beginning of my article that the Star Atlas game has not been released yet. However, this does not mean that none of its features are active. Now, let's focus on the questions of what we can do so far and what we can do in the future.
According to the developments so far, the mini-game will be released on December 9, 2021. The mini game can be played on the browser. Daily quests will be available in the Mini Game, and players will be expected to acquire an aptitude for how the game is played.
The only thing we can do until we wait for this date is Choosing Faction.
In the screenshot above, the options indicated by the two red arrows do the same job: Choose Faction. There are three different factions in the game and they all have different features.
Names of factions in the game are MUD, USTUR and ONI.
In the three screenshots I showed above, there are three factions in Star Atlas. In each picture;
- The yellow rectangle is the total in-game value of the assets of the players who have chosen that race so far.
- The red rectangle shows the number of players who have chosen that race so far.
- The green rectangle indicates the abilities of that race.
- The blue square indicates which mines each race can mine in its region.
I chose the ONI faction because they are technologically superior. In the game, I have one OPAL JET, which I showed above, worth 20 USDC. When the mini game comes out, I will try to increase the number of ATLAS tokens I have with daily tasks.
So what awaits us in the future? According to Roadmap, the dates are not exact, there are always delays in big projects. I'm not going to talk about dates, but what to do.
Star Atlas game will be a VR supported game. It is very nice that it is supported by VR because if they can do what they say, that is, if they can do the visuals in that showroom, the game will be very beautiful.
In addition, the game graphics are made by the unreal engine. This is a good development. The game will also have features such as the marketplace and the auction system. We all expect the minigame to be released on December 9th.
6). Conclusion.
Metaverse is definitely the technology of the future. However, the concept of Metaverse cannot be considered independent of the blockchain system. It is blockchain technology that ensures the Metaverse is a safe place, valuable assets such as nft owned, and investments remain secure.
Star Atlas is a project working on the Solana network that many people like me are looking forward to. In fact, I want to assemble a very powerful desktop computer for this game. Of course, I must say that there is also a VR set.
