Crypto Academy Week 15 - Homework Post for @sapwood | Liquidity Mining (Tron- Sun.io)

Hello, fellow Steemit users. The lecture by our professor @sapwood on liquidity mining has been very helpful to me. The post was very informative and covered a lot of information. So, here I am now to present my homework assignment to him.

Q1. How do I connect my TronLink Wallet to Sun.io?(Screenshots needed)

There are basically two ways of connecting the TronLink Wallet to Sun.io. One is through the web browser while the other one is through your TronLink Wallet. I will demonstrate how to connect it through my TronLink Wallet.

Step 1 - Open your Tron Link Wallet and select the option Discover at the bottom.

Step 2 - When the next window opens. Select the option for Sun.

Step 3 - This will lead you to the main page of Sun.io.

Step 4 - Click on the bars displayed at the right corner to check your connection.

Step 5 - You are now connected.

Q2. What are the different liquidity mining pools? Which one offers the highest APY? How many different rewards do I get by staking LP token? (Screenshots needed)

At the moment there are 9 liquidity pools available.
Below they are mentioned with the APY they offer-

As you can see, the SUNOLD-TRX LP is offering the highest APY, that is, 36.25%.

Below, are the screenshots of these nine liquidity pools.

There are 6 rewards which we get by staking LP tokens and these are -

1. TRX
2. JST
3. WIN
4. SUN
5. BTT
6. BTCST

Q3. How do I obtain LP Token by adding liquidity in Justswap? What is the quantity(Explore through your wallet/Tronscan)?(Screenshots needed)

Step 1 - Open your TronLink Wallet. Go to discover and select JustSwap.

Step 2 - When you are directed to the main page. Select the pair that you want. I chose TRX-USDT. I supplied 4 TRX.

Step 3 - Next select the authorization type and then move forward.

Step 4 - Enter your Wallet password to confirm.

Step 5 - Confirm the supply and enter your password to confirm.

Step 6 - Now, the message that the Liquidity has been added will pop up.

So, towards the end, I added 4TRX and 0.293097 USDT.

Q4. How do I stake LP Token to earn five different tokens on Sun.io? (Screenshots needed)

Step 1 - Open your TronLink Wallet and go to Discover. From there select Sun.

Step 2 - Choose the liquidity pool you want. I chose USDT-TRX as I had these in my wallet.

Step 3 - Select the authorization mode and enter the password to proceed.

Step 4 - Select how much amount you want to stake. For example, I decided to stake 2.15 USDT -TRX LP.

Step 5 - After you choose the Stake option at the bottom, the transaction is submitted and processed.

Q5. Which reward(out of five different rewards) can be withdrawn at any time? How do claim that (indicate that in the screenshot)?

Of the 6 rewards available after staking LP token on Sun.io, 33% of Sun token is available for withdrawal at any time. The remaining 5 tokens are unlocked on a weekly basis over a period of 24 weeks.

Steps for claiming the Sun rewards -

Step 1 - Select the option for Manage at the USDT-TRX LP. Click on Claim to see the mining rewards.

Step 2 - You will see that on the page there is only one set of rewards that is claimable. Select the option Claim to get the SUNOLD rewards.

Step 3 - Confirm the transaction by entering your password.

Step 4 - Your transaction will be submitted and processed. You can check TronScan for details.

Q6. What is the schedule of unlocking the mining rewards? Indicate the total undistributed/distributed mining rewards in the screenshot?

I have mentioned earlier to this, that out of the 6 reards available, only 33% of the Sun rewards can be claimed at any moment. The remaining 5 rewards are distributed weekly over a period of 24 weeks.

As you can see above, only Sun rewards are available for claim. The 5 rewards that are undistributed are TRX, JST, BTT, WIN, and BTC.

Q7. Include the real example of your interaction with Justswap and Sun.io as required in this task? Indicate how a "stake"(in Sun.io) function consumes different "Energy & Bandwidth" than "obtaining LP token" (in Justswap)? You should add/remove a small amount of liquidity to obtain/redeem your LP token(as little as 1 USDT worth)? (Screenshots needed)

JustSwap - Energy and Bandwidth consumption -

As you can see above, when I supplied 4 TRX and 0.293098 USDT, the transaction consumed 383 Bandwidth and a total of 60902 energy. However, since the energy required for the transaction was not sufficient, so 8.52628 TRX was burnt to cover for the deficit energy.

Sun.io - Energy and Bandwidth consumption -

As you can see in the above transaction when I staked 2-15 USDT-TRX LP, the transaction consumed 313 bandwidth and a total of 89516 energy. An additional 12.53224 TRX was also burnt to cover the energy deficit.

Thus, you can see the difference in energy and bandwidth for both transactions.

Q8. How do I unstake LP token and claim mining rewards(Sun.io)?

Step 1 - Go to the USDT-TRX LP. Select the option Claim and choose Max.

Step 2 - Select Claim & Unstake.

Step 3 - Select the authorization mode and enter your password.

Step 4 - Your transaction is submitted and processed.

Conclusion

through this homework task, I learnt to do a lot of transactions. I learnt about the liquidity pool and its various features. I learnt how to effectively use the TronLink Wallet. I am very grateful for this assignment task. I hope my task is up to the expectations of professor @sapwood.
