QUESTION 1: Describe in your own words the main Advantage and Disadvantages (pros and Cons) of NFT Games in relation to other types of games

Since the advent of Blockchain technology, it as expand it operation to vast aspect of operation ranging from digital currency, security etc of which Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is not an exception.

Prior to the advent to NFT games, games weren’t decentralize as owner of the games (most especially online games) had to controls of their users data. Gamers tend to encounter various challenges as the owners operated base on their convenience hence failing to meet some demands of which finance wasn’t an exception.
The advent of Blockchain games NFT have birth the privilege whereby both the gamer and owner benefit through the play-to-Earn mode of operation. The player is in total control of token and may sale them at anytime.

Getting to understand, there are several advantages and disadvantages of NFT games which operates on decentralized mode in contrast to centralized games.

Advantages

Decentralize: This is a unique pros as gamers are in total control of their assets without an iota of the game owners involvement compared to traditional games.

Rewardable: NFT games play-to-earn feature offers another pro. Items acquired by the gamer can be exchange for a fiat currency.

Authenticity: Everything remains authentic in NFT games.

Malfunction of server: Since there’s no central control that stores data, a shutdown of one server doesn’t cause server failure.

Permanency of asset: Gamers don’t loose their assert even if company stops operation forever as they can be use on another game that operates on exact network.

Flexibility: In traditional games (centralize games), every items are used in the game alone but in NFT games, the items can be used in another game provided it operates on same network.

Disadvantage (cons)

Expensive: In order to participate, gamers have to spend on purchase and some are reasonable amounts.

Power Consumption: Blockchain operations are power consumer. This is not only applicable to digital currencies alone but NTF as well.

Complexity: Unlike a traditional centralized game which most of them are simple in operation, blockchain games are complex in operation and thus requires much experience as users will have to overcome certain tasks which involves token purchasing, opening of wallet etc.

Scalability: Most of them face this challenge which triggers a slow operation.

Lionel Messi:
Being a world famous person in football, the Argentine made a great record on NFT by selling some of his works in a nice amount. They are; golden one, man of the past etc.

Jack Dorsey: The developer of famous social media called Twitter. He made a record of selling his tweet for $2.9m in an NFT format. This is a tweet that he made 15yrs ago which made a mistake of typing twttr instead of tweeter.

Lindsay Lohan: This super star raised a name in NFT by selling at a nice amount of $15,000. She was astonished as such tagged it history in making.

Snoop Dogg: Another popular American rap star made and NFT about his early life titled A journey with Dogg. He made over $100,000.

CryptoBlade

A popular game NFT online games that was programmed and lunched on this year by a company called Riverted Games. The top personalities in this game are; Philip Devine, Daniel Karsai, Kyle Kamp and Raymond Hammarling.

Cryptoblade is a game that talks about adventurous journey and it lack of complexity unlike other games makes it interesting to gamers.

The cryptoblade rewards user with a token called skill. Checking the coinmarketcap today 12 September, 2021 at about 8:6pm, the value of the token is $21.29. More details about it can be seen on the screenshot.

For token earned, gamers have to own a wallet . In cryptoblade, there is character hiring feature in which the gamer can use to win tough battle. Weapons can be trade as well as characters. The cryptoblade partner with Binance and this makes it a must to have a binance account and BNB coin for any transaction.

When playing the game, gamer will come across elements. This are; fire, water, earth, lightening. Each of this element have what the are strong against as well as weak against.

a. The earth is strong against lighting and weak against earth.
b. The fire is strong against earth and weak against water.
c. The water is strong against fire and weak against lighting
d. Lighting is strong against water but weak against earth.

A gamer can choose to upgrade his/her character as well.

There are about 3 platforms to obtain the skill token but
Step 1: Login to the metamask with your device. Check the top right or bottom left of the screen and click on Download.

Step 2: Next page opens. Select your device but andriod option is default so proceed to click install MetaMask for Android on bottom and will direct you to google playstore

Step 3: Open the installed app and click on Get started.

On the next page, click on create wallet to proceed choose your own password

Step 4: I clicked view in order to copy out my Secret Recovery phrase

Next step, I confirmed my secret recovery phrase task

When I was done, success popped up and I clicked complete backup

Next Step, click on the top left and select setting and then network

This display, select the network then click on add

Configure it

Purchase of Skill token

First, Configure and add a BNB coin to the wallet. Then click on it.

Then click on swap as seen there

Then click select a token and this pop up will show. Search for skill on the search option and select it.

Input the amount to run the transaction successfully.

The advent of blockchain games have been an amazing development that gives gamers more privilege to gain from their passion. This assignment have help me to know more about NTF.
