INTRODUCTION:

Am very grateful for being part of this wonderful academy after joining steemit platform. Thanks to professor @sapwood for bringing out this for us beginners and giving detailed explanation concerning it. This is my beginners course task 1 here on this crypto academy. Am answering for number 1 out of the 3 question.

WHAT IS POB

POB means proof of brain or brain test. it is generally a system that rewards users for developing and publishing a very valuable content without plagiarism. This is done by creativily produce quality post or something unique that never existed, that is harnessing your potentials.

The main aim is to promote valuable content by administering both author and curation reward on the steemit platform

The PoB is sort of brain testing platform that allow users to showcase their talents, exploring, finding out what people have been doing in all communities that has been working and implementing it, what they can do to promote steemit with their skill or idea and also enlighten other users on topics they feel they understand or Know better.

WHAT DOES CURATION MEAN TO YOU IN STEEM BLOCKCHIAN

Curation is the process by which the work of content creators are checked and voted. Normally
The word curation means voting. It has to do with adding value to a publication. It also means choosing performances that are of value, or contents that are valuable.

As steem is a decentralized block chain it gives individuals the right to personally evaluate the source of the post and value of the content, this is done based on individual criteria

In the steem block chain, curation means to me reading a post , cross-checking the post for plagiarism, upvote the post if the content is useful, downvote if the content is harmful, then resteem if you want to share such value to your followers

When a content gets much curators, it helps the content to trend in the community thereby helping more readers and users to gain from such value, the process is called curation

we can also look for valuable content and investigate its originality and vote for it, share it so that it is curated in a group way by your followers, which allows it to be called curated content when it is voted by a group of people, according to our criteria it must be content that adds value to the platform

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BUILDING SP?

Steel power (SP) is a steem that has been locked in, vested, it can be immediately withdrawn to spend and it gives influence on steemit. It shows that you are strong in the platform

The steem power is an avenue to gain influence and gain control of more decisions in the steem community.

BENEFITS

• It gives you more influential power
• It gives you more curation rewards
• Aids in the building of steemit block chain --community
• It gives you greater voting power during curation
• Earning of 10% interest of the total reward pool
  Strong influencer of the distribution of pob reward pool
• It gives greater influence within the community and its content.
• It gives better Tron reward since the more sp more tron

HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN SELF-UPVOTE AS A GOOD OR BAD SOCIAL BEHAVIOR AND WHY

Self Upvote means when an individual upvotes his own post or comments using his steemit. Self-upvote is a bad social behaviour because it validates the objective of steemit as a decentralized social media and educational platform.
Self-upvote doesn't contribute to the community.

The steemit ecosystem encourages originality and quality contents which could only be determined by other curators within the system.

In otherwords, a person engaging self-upvoting is limiting himself because he cannot explore, learn new things from others and will not earn more from others, as he will be restricted to the little his own votes earn him. So Self-upvote to me is bad because it is a sign of being self-centered and self appraisal.

From the image above gotten from the coinmarket is indicates that the steem currently ranks 335 on the rank list and 42912 on the watchlists

It has a market cap of $2,161,038,074 and has a current price of $0.4235 having a 7.80% decrease in the last 24hrs with a high of 0. 4692 and a low of $0.4165 in the 24hrs exchange period

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TOKENS DO YOU EARN BY SOCIALIZING IN THE STEEM BLOCKCHAIN

There are few tokens to be earned for socializing and Making quality content post on the steem blockchain

STEEM: which is the Liquid crypto currency earned on this platform. it is the original cyptocurrency of the steem blockchain, it can be converted to usdt, btc, eth and some other currencies at different exchange platforms

STEEM POWER (SP): This is the equivalent of steem but locked, thereby earning interest for the holder and giving you more influence in the community, it can also be generated by powering up your steem , this Steen power can also be delegated to help build the community

STEEM DOLLARS (SBD) or Steem Based Dollar- This is a stable coin for the steemit ecosystem. This steem dollars that can be traded in the market for steem

TXN (Tron coin) – Just recently added as part of the earnings. For every One SP earned, you will also earn one Tron.
