Steemit Crypto Academy Contest / S1W1 - My Favorite Blockchain Network By @tugcenindolabi
Hello. Today I am going to tell you about my favorite blockchain network SOLANA. After explaining why I prefer SOLANA to other networks, I will talk about STAR ATLAS, a game I love on the SOLANA network.
SOLANA
SOLANA
The architect of the Solana network is Anatoly Yakovenko. Anatoly Yakovenko launched the Solana network in 2017. Anatoly Yakovenko is a DROPBOX employee, which is my preferred cloud application in his career.
The Solana network has a very important place in the blockchain ecosystem. It owes this to its features. The Solana blockchain is a global network. It has the capacity to process fifty thousand transactions in one second. This is a huge number. The block duration is 0.4 seconds, which is a very important feature. It is these features that make Solana a high-speed, single-layer blockchain.
And most importantly fee fees. This is very important for me. In the Solana network, the fee is very low. It is even ridiculously low when compared to the fees of other known blockchains.
We all complain about the fees in the ETH network, right? BSC network fees were an alternative to ETH network fees. However, these days, with the increase in the value of BNB, BSC fee fees have started to increase.
That's why I love the SOLANA network.
The second reason I like Solana mesh is another feature that makes Solana mesh special: Proof of History (POH)
Solana network works with the Proof of Stake mechanism. As we all know, Proof of Stake is available on many blockchains. But the Solana network takes Proof of Stake one step further, making its network unique. We call this Proof of History.
What is Proof of History? Solana Network records the transactions made on it in historical ledgers to make it more decentralized. The status of these transactions is timestamped before they are broadcast across the entire network. This is for queuing transactions. Priority is to be put in order of later. Timestamps make the network more organized. The timestamp appears as proof of the transaction.
STAR ATLAS
STAR ATLAS
Star Atlas is a metaverse project. It is built on the SOLANA network. Due to the high processing capacity of the Solana network, it can support high-capacity games. Star Atlas is one such game.
Star Atlas CEO Michael Wagner always gets me excited:
“Star Atlas will provide players with the most powerful opportunity in human history to reap economic benefits through the conversion of in-game virtual earnings into real-world income. This integration optimizes Star Atlas' long-term goals by connecting to Solana's thriving community, ecosystem, and best-in-class technology. The overall vision of Star Atlas is not possible in any other Blockchain.”
In other words, the game will allow us to have a good time by playing games, while at the same time it will offer the opportunity to earn considerable amounts of money.
It will take until 2025 for the full game to be released. So it's under development. But in the market part of the game, ships have started to be sold. As there are very expensive ships, there are also ships that sell for $15. The first stage game is active in Star Atlas right now. We can send your ships on a mission and earn daily ATLAS.
The game also has a DAO token: POLIS. POLIS token holders will be able to have a say in the course of the game when the full version is released. So POLIS token is a game management token.
Thank you for reading. Your comments make me very happy.
wow!!, quite impressive and right on track, I love how you have been able to make the discussion as simple.
I never knew much about the Solana blockchain, this just tends to open my instinct more to the blockchain, have always thought Tron has the lowest transaction fee, and I think it might as well be better to hop and purchase some ships on the star atlas before it gets too late.
I wish you all the best in your entry!!
