Greetings steemians, I hope that you all are doing good. I am also good and healthy. Today I am going to post the homework given by Professor @yousafharoonkhan . In this post I am going to write about centralized and decentralized social media platforms briefly. So let's get started,

Question No 1 :
Write the definition of Decentralized and Centralized Social Media Platforms in your own words. Explain in your own words the difference between decentralized and centralized Social Media Platforms.

Centralized Social Media

                 The centralized social media from its own term centralization means control of an activity or organization, Which means the decisions and the conclusions in an organization is to be made by the leaders or by a single central authority only excluding the entire community. The decisions are only communicated to the lower-level managers just for the implementation. Likewise, Social media has also two major types, In Centralized social media, If any person signs up it means he gives all the authority of his account to the platform and now he has only restricted control over his own account. His account can be removed blocked or can be altered without any of his consent. In simple words, if I say centralized social media is the one in which you are not totally free at all but all your conversations, calls, or any activity can be monitored or blocked with your permission.
Examples: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and many more.

Decentralized Social Media

                On the other hand, Decentralized social media is the opposite of centralized, It gives a person(user) total freedom of control and expression of his views.In this kind of social platform, the authority has no right to block or remove you from their platform on the contrary they give you full authority over your account to do anything you want. If in any case, they needed to make decisions concerning your account they first have to take your permission. The most ideal example of decentralized social media is Steemit.

                DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM

CENTRALIZED SOCIAL MEDIA	DECENTRALIZED SOCIAL MEDIA
The Platform and its user's account are under the control of the central authority.	The user's account is not under the control of any authority.
The user does not have full freedom of expressing their opinions(Restriction).	You have complete freedom of expression of anything.
Terms and conditions need to be agreed upon by the user otherwise he is not eligible to use the platform or will be blocked at any time.	No terms and conditions are to be followed or agreed upon in order to use the platform.
It can easily be used by any person without any additional knowledge needed.	It is not easy to use and requires some basic knowledge about its usage.
The Cybersecurity system centralized is poor and is prone to be hacked.	The cybersecurity system of decentralized is well and good and is less prone to be hacked.
You cannot earn easily from it or invest in it.	You can Invest and earn by uploading quality content.

Question No 2 :
Which One is The Future of Social media? Decentralized or centralized Social media?

A large number of people in our country are unaware of decentralized social media in fact they don't even know what is centralized and decentralized social media is, they don't even care about their privacy and their personal crucial information which can be leaked if these centralized social media platforms needed to. But it takes time slowly people are going to be aware of what they are doing, their personal and business information is at stake to be leaked at any time and is being monitored by high authorities of that platform, but soon will learn about it until then the centralized social media are ruling.

                 If we talk about Decentralized social media, We all know it's not that easy as centralized, In fact, you need a lot of information before proceeding, it's something like a challenge, it is hard to swallow the concepts of the blockchain world. but as soon you got aware of these complicated concepts it's like a smooth journey and the safest platform with the benefit of generating a good amount of revenue monthly, weekly, or even daily.

                 It's true that people are resisted to centralized social media, They find it difficult to change themselves, their ignorance is the main hindrance of neglecting decentralized social media, Even when I discuss with them they get bored even I didn't believe it when I first time heard that we can generate money in this platform. The lack of interest in people leads them to use centralized platforms instead of decentralized.
                 But there is good news also, that I have been noticing nowadays, that people are now becoming aware of cryptocurrencies which are leading them to steemit like decentralized social media platforms, People that take interest in the crypto market are becoming aware of these decentralized platforms, I am sure in some next few years a good amount of people will leave centralized platforms and will convert into the user of decentralized social platforms.
                 So In conclusion After a deep observation I can safely and confidently say that the FUTURE is DECENTRALIZED SOCIAL MEDIA, it's just a matter of time when people are going to realize that decentralized social media protects my privacy, cannot resists my expressions, creativity and it is the best place where my time, effort and content are rewarded in means of cryptocurrency.

Question No 3 :
How steemit decentralization social media is better than Twitter and Facebook?

Factors suggesting Steemit is better than Facebook Twitter:

• Steemit unlike Facebook and Twitter rewards you for the quality content that you uploaded in terms of a cryptocurrency called STEEM.
• Your privacy safety is the first priority of Steemit unlike Facebook and Twitter, They cannot censor your content without your consent.
• Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, unlike Facebook Twitter where content has no copyright and can be stolen without the consent of the creator.
• If you caught in plagiarism you cannot be banned from the platform but in fact, you will be downvoted which will lead to low REP on the platform.
• Bullying and harassment are not allowed.

Question No 4 :
What do you say? How do Steemit social media change the lives of millions of its users?

Steemit has given an opportunity to the people who were unemployed in this rough COVID situation to work from home and show them your talent, skills, and hard work by sharing with them. I have seen many students on this platform who are bearing the expenses of their university high feeses by working on Steemit. Now not only they can pay their own fees but also they are filling their stomach and also of their family by earing through this platform. Your education or talent is in vain if you do not have the opportunity to earn from it. Your talent and your intelligence will not help you to feed yourself or any other person. In conclusion, I can say that Steemit is a great platform for a hard-working, Skillful man, where the harder you work, the more you will be rewarded.

Question No 5 :
How can we make money with Steemit's decentralized social media?

SKILLS, TALENT AND HARDWORK:

The Platform enables you to publish your skills talent or a piece of crucial information in different communities or by participating in different contests and then you will be rewarded for your quality content. You can also earn by learning crypto market concepts in the well-known community and you just need to do their homework conceptually and neatly and as soon your work going to attracts them, they will reward you. Your hard work in this decentralized social platform will not be in vain, unlike Facebook and twitter where you will never going to be rewarded unless you are so famous(A Celebrity).

STEEM POWER:

Also, the steem power enables you to earn more, It increases your influence in steemit. The more you have steem power in your account, the more you are going to earn from your post's comments and upvotes. It is important to know also steem power is unspendable, But it increases your influence on the platform.

STEEM DOLLAR(SBD):

The SBD(Steem dollars) has also a big usage in the platform, you can convert your SBD into any cryptocurrency, and also you can promote your posts through SBD which is going to expose your posts around the world, and in return, you get more steems.

Question No 6 :
How to create communities on Steemit social media & Promote your homework post on two social media, Twitter and Facebook.

Step-01

Click on the steemit logo in the upper left corner and then click on explore communities.

Step-02
Click on create community.

Step-03
Type the community name that you are willing to launch and also about the nature of the community. After that click on the Next button, By pressing the next button it will give you the owner name and password of the community you are going to create.

Step-04
By pressing the create community button, It will ask you 3 steem as a fee to create the community, Press OK to create the community.

Step-05
Now, your community is created, you are ready to go and promote.

Step-06
Your community is ready to be subscribed.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I can say that decentralized social media is not popular nowadays but I am hopeful that someday every person will be able to understand that their privacy and time is in vain in centralized social media rather they try to use decentralized social media where their talent and hard work have some worth and they are also free to express anything. Thanks to the professor who taught us this useful lesson.
