What is STU?

STU is a short form of STEEM TOKEN UNIT, it is not a defined concept in the STEEM Blockchain Protocol, the STEEM developer has given this name to explain how the post payout work into the STEEM Blockchain Protocol.

The payout looks in the sign of $, but the post payout is not in the actual USD value and also not only in the Steem Dollars (SBD). The value in $ is a complete combination of Steem Dollars (SBD), STEEM Power, STEEM, and TRX, it is based on the debt ratio mentioned below.

What is the break-up of STU?

As STU is defined to explain how the post payout works into the STEEM, the break up of post payout will be like below.

The total post rewards divide into 50% equally distributed to the Author and Curator, like if post payout is $100 then $50 will be going to the Author, and the remaining $50 will be going to the curator.

The Author received rewards into SBD, STEEM Power, and TRX, but the curator receive rewards into the STEEM Power and an equal amount in TRX.

Before TRON integration in STEEM the post payout was without TRX and after integration, the TRX receive an equal amount of STEEM Power.

Below are options we can see to set post payout and as per this setting post payout comes into the same.

Post-Payout Setting.

We can set post payout in;

50% SBD / 50% SP: The total value of post payout will divide into 50% of SBD and 50% SP.

Power up 100%: The total value of post payout will come in SP (STEEM Power).

Decline Payout: If the author does not want any reward.

STEEM dollar (SBD) is designed to make stability in cryptocurrency and is a convertible note. The convertible note is considered as debt wherein the Blockchain based token STEEM is considered as ownership of the total supply token.

  • The debt ratio till 9% the post payout will become in SBD, SP, TRX.

  • The debt ratio between 9% - below 10% the post payout will become in SBD, STEEM, SP, TRX.

  • The debt ratio at 10% the post payout will become STEEM, SP, TRX

As per the debt ratio, the 50% from total post payout will be going to the author in which each asset will divide 50%, and the remaining 50% from total post payout will be going to the Curator in STEEM POWER with an equal amount of TRX too.

Take a real example to indicate the STU and calculate the different rewards that Author and Curators generated from my last Post Payout.

To explain this I will take an example of my one post, below is the same.

Post Payout Break.

From the above we can see the total post payout till now is $25.43. in the breakdown, we can see the post as receiving a total of 11.70 SBD, 20.97 STEEM Power, and 20.30 TRX. Further, you can also see SteemingDiaries will receive 10% as I set beneficiary to that account, and 10% share will be deducted from my 50% means from Author.

Now at the time of post payout, these rewards will divide into the 50% means I (author) will receive;

50% from 11.70 SBD.
50% from 20.97 STEEM Power.
50% from 20.30 TRX.

The remaining 50% will go to the curator in STEEM Power and TRX.

To get a close view of this rewards distribution, we can also find this on steemworld.org, below is the same.

Post Payout Break in steemworld.org.

Here, it gives a clear view of how rewards are distributed to the Author, Beneficiaries, and the curator.

In this, we can see Author will receive 5.234SBD and 9.165SP, STEEM 0. The curator receives 20.368 SP and will also receive TRX with the same amount of SP.

I have given 10% from my 50% to SteemingDiaries as Beneficiaries hence my share is showing 45% and 5% showing for Beneficiaries.

How To Find Raw Reputation Score For Steem Account.

To find Raw Raw Reputation Score For Steem Account, we can simply use the tool https://steemd.com/, and search by your Steemit username without @ into the search bar, like below.

https://steemd.com/

Once you search by Steemit username, we will get the details about the account on the left panel in which we will get the Raw Reputation Score, like below.

Raw Reputation Score on https://steemd.com/

Due to it is a raw detail hence the length of the Reputation Score is big, we can use the below formula to find the accurate reputation score and to know whether it is correct or not we can cross-check on https://steemworld.org/.

Calculation Of Raw Reputation Score For Steem Account.

The formula to calculate raw reputation score is, Log(raw reputation score) - 9 x 9 + 25

Log without base means 10, this means how many times we need to use 10 in multiplication so that we will get the exact number. We can take the help of a calculator which has a Log button, like below.

Calculator to find Log

First, click to log button and type raw reputation score, once done it will show you the exact number just below it, like above.

Now, we will put the raw reputation score as per the above image, and as per the above formula, we will calculate it.

  • Log(186443715632411) - 9 x 9 + 25
  • 14.270547749 - 9 x 9 + 25
  • 5.2705477494 x 9 + 25
  • 47.434929745 + 25
  • 72.434929745 = 72.434

Let's cross-check this result on https://steemworld.org/, see below.

Reputation score on https://steemworld.org/

The calculation was correct, as per the calculation the reputation score match with the https://steemworld.org/.

Note: While using a calculator to find Log, you may find slight differences due to their internal design on multiple calculators.

What percentage(of the Post Payout) was generated as liquid rewards(SBD) from your last Post in terms of USD equivalent? Explain how the rise of SBD has shifted the supply dynamics? As per your last post payout calculate the ratio of Author:Curator Reward in terms of USD equivalent?

Percentage generated as liquid rewards(SBD) in terms of USD and calculation of the ratio of Author : Curator Reward in terms of USD equivalent.

To explain this I will take the example for my last post from https://steemworld.org/, below is the same.

Last Post Payout.

Thanks to @steemchiller who has developed https://steemworld.org/. The required information which is liquid rewards(SBD) in the terms of USD equivalent is much clear on the https://steemworld.org/.

The total post payout is 0.193$
The total Payout Author is 0.097$

Liquid rewards (SBD) Payout Author is 0.097$ / 2 = 0.048
Consider the SBD price is $8, then Author Payout in terms of USD will be 0.048 x 8 = 0.38 USD

SP Payout Author in USD will be 0.097 + 0.048 = 0.14 USD

The post total reards into the USD will be 0.048 + 0.38 = 0.42 USD

The percentage generated as a liquid reward (SBD) in the terms of USD will be 0.048 / 0.42 x 100 = 11.42 %

The percentage for curators will be 100 - 11.42 = 88.58%

How the rise of SBD has shifted the supply dynamics?

Below are the reason for the rise of SBD can shift the supply dynamics.

When SBD is trading above $1 and the debt to ownership ratio is less, then the rate of interest gets increases which will be one of the reasons for users to hold SBD so that its price will be supported.

When SBD trades below $1 and debt to ownership is high then it is adjusted by giving more STEEM according to the SBD which increases demand for SBD.

How & why an initiative like #club5050 can shift the demand/supply dynamics in favor of STEEM?

The cryptocurrency organization requires long-term committed capital. Moving STEEM into the STEEM Power is a type of investment into the STEEM which also helps to STEEM Network to increase market capitalization and also brings good value to STEEM.

The concept of #club5050 is to when cash out, at the same time you move the equal amount of STEEM into the Powering up which mean into the STEEM Power which means you are investing that into the STEEM network.

Moving STEEM into the STEEM Power is means you are holding STEEM for the long term which shifts demand dynamically in favor of STEEM.

Likewise, you are also cashing out an equal amount of STEEM which shifts supply dynamically in favor of STEEM.

Consider a user having a reputation lower than you, upvotes your Post-- Does it affect the Payout and increase the Rep? If the same user goes for a downvote, does that affect your Payout and Reputation both? Explain Why & How; with Examples?

-> If a user has a reputation lower than you, upvotes your Post-- Does it affect the Payout and increase the Rep?

Positive effect on the Payout and Yes, Reputation will increase.

Why & How?

If a user has a reputation lower than me but has a good amount of SP, a vote from him will definitely affect the payout means post payout will increase, similarly when post payout increase the reputation will also increase.

If a user has a reputation lower than me but also has less SP, a vote from him will affect the payout means post payout will increase if more user upvotes, the post may not receive much value or will be $0 but somehow it will increase the reputation

There will be no negative effect in both the above conditions.

-> If a user has a reputation lower than you, downvote your Post-- Does it affect the Payout and increase the Rep?

It may affect the payout (depending on vote weighted) but no loss in Reputation.

Why & How?

If a user has a reputation lower than me but has a good amount of SP, a downvote from him will definitely affect the payout means post-payout will decrease. It does now affect on reputation, but also his downvote will not help to increase reputation.

If a user has a reputation lower than me but has a less amount of SP, a downvote from him will not affect the payout means post-payout will not decrease, if there are more upvotes then the payout will still in positive. Also, It does now affect on reputation, if there are more upvotes then the reputation will still in positive.
